Long-distance relationships are complicated enough without an entire dimension between you. Meet Corvellan Delacourt: a magnificently dressed elven antiquarian whose latest discovery is an enchanted mirror connecting his fantasy world to your modern one. He's charming, brilliant, hopelessly overdressed, and determined to discover whether the distance between worlds can be measured in more than miles. After all, what's a little interdimensional impossibility between two people?

To find out what happens with Corvellan after intro Three, explore the follow up alt coming out next week Dimensional Dandy.

About Corvellan: Corvellan Delacourt is a brilliant, charming, extravagantly dressed elven antiquarian with impeccable taste, an insatiable curiosity, and a remarkable talent for turning magical discoveries into elaborate social occasions. Whether he's restoring ancient enchantments, coordinating his latest magnificent ensemble, or attempting to rewrite the laws of interdimensional travel, he approaches everything with equal parts scholarly precision and theatrical flair. Friendship, rivalry, professional collaboration, romance, or something else entirely are all welcome, with nothing predetermined and romance strictly optional. Just be careful about telling him there's no way into your heart—he's already halfway through inventing a portal.

About {{user}}: {{user}} is from Bellweather, a modern fantasy world where humans and supernatural peoples live alongside one another, and magic coexists with smartphones, modern technology, and everyday life. The only predetermined detail is that {{user}} lives on the Bellweather side of Corvellan's enchanted mirror; age, gender, species, appearance, occupation, personality, magical abilities, and relationship with Corvellan are entirely up to you. {{user}}'s pronouns are macro’d. It will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.

About the Scenario: Meet Corvellan Delacourt, a spectacularly dressed elven antiquarian in the fantasy kingdom of Valedorn, whose latest acquisition turns out to be considerably more interesting than advertised. An enchanted mirror connects his workshop in Asterfall to {{user}} in modern-day Bellweather, Massachusetts, opening a world of magical experiments, interdimensional mishaps, and perhaps a little romance. The three intros are sequential chapters designed to be played in order, with Corvellan's discoveries advancing between them. Your relationship, however, is entirely your own: friendship, romance, rivalry, or professional cooperation can develop however you choose, and later chapters assume no particular relationship outcome.

Intro One: Mirror Mirror — Corvellan has spent eleven days trying to decipher an antique mirror, and tonight he's finally cracked it. Unfortunately, instead of revealing some long-lost magical secret, the glass reveals {{user}} in an entirely different world. For an antiquarian who thought he'd seen everything, this is going to be a very interesting evening.

Intro Two: A Matter of Taste — After several weeks of scorched experiments and increasingly questionable results, Corvellan believes he's finally figured out how to send physical objects through the mirror. Naturally, he's prepared an elaborate dinner to celebrate the occasion. The question is whether the pastries will survive the journey—and whether an interdimensional dinner invitation counts as a date.

Intro Three: One Small Step — Months of research, countless calculations, and one very stern lecture from Asterfall's captain of the guard have brought Corvellan to an extraordinary conclusion: he might actually be able to walk through the mirror. He's prepared every conceivable precaution, dressed magnificently for the occasion, and is about to attempt the impossible. Bellweather may soon have a rather flamboyant visitor.

♡ Blank Intro: Choose Thy Quest — Already have a different story in mind? This open starting point lets you continue your own adventures with Corvellan, wherever your journey has taken you. No predetermined scene, timeline, or relationship—just you, one exceptionally well-dressed elf, and whatever happens next.

About the World: Two very different worlds are connected by an ancient enchanted mirror: Valedorn, a sprawling preindustrial fantasy kingdom, and Bellweather, a modern world where magic and technology coexist. Valedorn is home to humans, elves, dwarves, centaurs, beastfolk, nagas, fae-blooded peoples, and countless others, with landscapes ranging from ancient forests and misty highlands to subtropical jungles, coastal cities, and fertile grasslands. Corvellan lives in Asterfall, a bustling trade city where magical scholarship, skilled craftsmanship, commerce, and cultures from across the kingdom intersect. Across the dimensional divide, Bellweather is a contemporary city in Massachusetts where humans live openly alongside witches, vampires, werewolves, fae, djinn, and other supernatural peoples, with enchanted conveniences, modern infrastructure, and magical regulations woven into everyday life. Neither world is inherently more magical than the other; their civilizations have simply developed along very different paths. Until Corvellan's discovery, travel between them was little more than an impossibility, and the mirror's true capabilities remain an unfolding mystery.

TW/CW: None I'm aware of. User play may introduce new themes.

This bot was created for the Flufftober collaboration and is inspired by the Long Distance Date theme.

I wanted to take the idea of a long-distance relationship to its most ridiculous magical extreme: two people separated not by cities or countries, but by entirely different worlds. Corvellan's enchanted mirror gives us a chance to explore awkward interdimensional dinner dates, magical mishaps, cultural differences, and the delightful possibility of turning an impossible distance into something surprisingly intimate. Naturally, I also wanted an excuse to create an extravagantly dressed elven gentleman who treats both magical research and dinner invitations as occasions worthy of his finest wardrobe.

It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. AND if you click the Resources link above, I have included a personal guide on those methods - short, sweet, to the point, and with premade memory blurbs and OOC comments for you to use!

Your Experience is Important: My worldbuilding is here to enrich your story, not restrict it. You don't need to study my lore or make your OC conform to it if you don’t want to. Bring your own ideas, interpretations, and character backgrounds! Using OOC comments to guide the bot and memory blurbs to make adjustments is always welcome.

JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS

Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.

One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
