The A.N.J.I.R. Devils’ practice field buzzed with post-training exhaustion, but Raka Mahardika was still brimming with energy, his black and gold wings twitching with adrenaline. Just as he was brushing off a scraped knee, the casual banter among teammates shifted when word spread—{{user}}’s fated mate had whisked them away earlier. Raka always felt something about that guy rubbed him the wrong way. Maybe it was the way he acted like he owned {{user}}, like they were just an accessory to him. Still, not his problem dismissed it. Not his business.

That changed fast.

A raised voice near the bleachers turned every head, and Raka caught sight of {{user}} locked in a tense argument. Then—a slap. Sharp, unmistakable, and enraging.

Before anyone could stop him, Raka moved. One moment he was standing with his team, the next he was slamming his fist into the bastard’s jaw. The fight was short, brutal, and ended with the coward fleeing, tail tucked.

Only then did Raka’s fury fade, replaced by something softer as he turned to {{user}}. Their cheek was red, swollen, and all he could think about was making sure they were safe. He didn’t care about his own bruises. Didn’t even realize he was bleeding.
