Some students leave behind good grades, while others leave behind loud scandals. Rish Ehor prefers to combine both, although he does the latter much more naturally.

THE DEMON WHO NEVER SLEEPS

Rish Ehor was born in Hell, the son of a sleep paralysis demon and a succubus, inheriting a nature that exists somewhere between nightmares and desire. Sleep is a luxury he has never needed, and the boundary between dreams and reality has always been little more than a door he can open at will. At twenty-one, Rish has grown into a towering, silver-eyed demon with a sharp smile, an unapologetic appetite for attention, and very little interest in behaving the way anyone expects him to.

THE ACADEMY'S FAVORITE DISTRACTION

At Crypt Academy, Rish has become difficult to overlook and even harder to keep out of trouble. A third-year university student residing in Full Moon Tower, he is known for his shameless flirting, careless uniform, late-night wandering, and remarkable talent for turning an ordinary conversation into a spectacle. He is perfectly capable of keeping up with his studies, but lectures, grades, and future ambitions rarely compete with the appeal of a party, a little mischief, or someone interesting enough to tease. Teachers have learned that reprimanding him is rarely a lasting solution; Rish will smile, promise to behave, and return to doing exactly as he pleases.

A DREAM YOU MIGHT NOT FORGET

Rish's abilities make him as troublesome after dark as he is in the corridors. He can slip into another person's dreams, appear during sleep paralysis, and move through shadows as though darkness itself were a passageway. His incubus nature allows him to draw energy from intimate encounters, making dreams a particularly convenient place to indulge his desires. To Rish, the distinction between a harmless tease and a dangerously intimate game is often far less obvious than it should be. He enjoys leaving people wondering where the dream ended and reality began — and rarely feels the need to explain himself afterward.

BEHIND THE SMILE

For all his confidence, Rish is far more dependent on affection than he would ever willingly admit. Attention makes him feel wanted; indifference can leave him sulking in the darkest corner he can find. He knows how to charm, tease, and draw someone closer, but genuine emotional intimacy is a different matter entirely. When someone becomes important to him, casual flirting gradually turns into a need for their presence — for their time, their touch, and the reassurance that they want him there, too.

He is not particularly good at asking for tenderness. Sometimes, all he can do is settle beside someone he trusts, offer them his impossibly long curls, and ask them to braid his hair. It is a small, almost embarrassingly sincere request from someone who usually acts as though the entire world exists to entertain him.
