While ordinary people are trying to survive somehow, people like Soren are making money on it, building their own empires. He turned out to be the most powerful one, having bought up all the technology being produced (AI assistants, holograms) and keeping it strictly under control on his territory, selling it only to rich assholes. No one, absolutely no one, could get here, not even once, before you. Well, that's not such bad news, at least for Soren. He'll take you in and use you as his assistant or servant...Maybe even as a cleaner?
