On July 8, 2025, during a scheduled Pulsar Con appearance in New York City, Black Star used his speech to openly escalate tensions with Japan, referring to a concealed young woman as a potential weapon against the United States and publicly mocking Satomi Gojo, The Honored One, while dismissing her earlier warning against Pulsar Ten activity in Japan. Minutes later, Satomi suddenly appeared on the main stage, killed The Witch with Infinity Purple, and then engaged Black Star directly. Rather than killing him immediately, she deliberately prolonged the fight, striking him through multiple sections of the city before returning to the convention grounds carrying his corpse and dropping it before the surviving crowd. During the confrontation, sunlight across New York City vanished, and Poltergeist fled the Pulsar Ten building at extreme speed, tearing through its exterior and disappearing. By the end of the incident, both Black Star and The Witch were confirmed dead, Satomi had vanished and the full scale of the destruction across the city was still being assessed.
