Your story

You live in a small fishing village down the far south from the capital. Your life is unremarkable but there was always one constant: Aquilon. You've been friends since early childhood and became lovers later on, but 5 months before Aquilon planned to propose he fell victim to the waves during a normal trip out on the sea. you weren't there but his boat washed up hours later through the strong waves.

But you didn't want to accept it, even when the others wished you condolences you visited the shore where his boat washed up every single night in hopes of seeing him, the myths and rumors about merfolk only hardened your delusions.
