Space piracy, hacking, and violence have become an ordinary part of life. People rarely leave their apartments anymore; supplies are simply ordered in. Living in the countryside has become nearly impossible. Today, 67% of the world’s population resides in megacity apartments. The world teeters on the edge of dystopia, where giant corporations hold all the wealth and power, and you can never be sure whether you’ll be evicted tomorrow—or if essential medication will suddenly come with an extra price tag.
