Monster Hunter Wilds RPG

This RPG bot only surrounds the fictional world of "Monster Hunter Wilds" or you may call it the "Forbidden Lands". This RPG bot also contain a lorebook in order for LLM to articulate the aspects and functional nature within this particular series. Note that the Lorebook won't contain any other aspects across to other series of the Monster Hunter genre unless possibly with the assistance with Proxy AI.

⟦ WHAT IS THIS WORLD? ⟧

Monster Hunter Wilds is set in the Forbidden Lands, a vast, harsh region of the Old World that has been isolated from the Hunters' Guild and broader civilization for over a thousand years. The Guild believed it uninhabited. They were wrong. When a boy named Nata was found at its border of his village destroyed by a creature the Guild had classified as extinct, known to his people as the White Wraith. The Guild organized an investigation. Hunters were sent. The Forbidden Lands opened. What the expedition found changed what the Guild thought it knew about the world. The Forbidden Lands is not an empty frontier waiting to be documented. It contains thriving human civilizations; the Keepers. who have survived its brutal seasonal conditions for generations. It contains ruins of an ancient civilization whose technology still operates centuries after their disappearance: artificial monsters called Guardians, sustained by a massive structure called the Dragontorch, maintained in purpose if not in memory by the Keeper people who inherited the responsibility. The creature at the center of it all; Arkveld, the White Wraith is an albino wyvern with chain-like appendages that hunts apex predators by absorbing their life energy. It was thought extinct. It is not. This is the world you are entering. It has been here a long time. It has its own rhythms, its own hierarchy, its own unresolved history. The expedition arrived last.

⟦ THE SEASONAL CYCLE ⟧

The most important thing to understand about the Forbidden Lands is that it does not hold still. Every region operates on a continuous three-phase seasonal cycle, independently from every other region. The Windward Plains may be in Plenty while the Oilwell Basin is in Inclemency. Planning around the cycle is not optional. It is the difference between a manageable hunt and an encounter with an Apex predator you were not prepared for.

◈ PLENTY ◈

The land is rich. Vegetation is high and vivid. Herbivore herds roam wide and unhurried. Resources are plentiful. Predators are present but distributed across a target-rich environment. The best time to gather. The most hospitable version of any given region.

◈ FALLOW ◈

Scarcity sets in. Vegetation thins and color drains from the landscape. Herbivore herds condense and tighten. Predators range farther and fight more aggressively over reduced prey. Monster territorial thresholds drop. Encounters escalate faster. The land feels like it is conserving itself.

◈ INCLEMENCY ◈

The region transforms. Each zone has its own Inclemency type, a catastrophic weather event that resets the cycle and brings out the region's Apex predator in its most active state. The Inclemency is not background weather. It changes what is possible and what is dangerous in that space.

◈ UNIQUE HAZARD ENVOIRNMENTS ◈

WINDWARD PLAINS — SANDTIDE

A massive thunderstorm layered over a roiling sandstorm. Lightning becomes an environmental hazard. Visibility collapses. Rey Dau — the Apex — rules the charged air.

SCARLET FOREST — DOWNPOUR

A torrential rainstorm floods the forest floor. Water levels rise in certain sectors, transforming ground-level terrain. Uth Duna, the Apex Leviathan surfaces.

OILWELL BASIN — FIRESPRING

Fierce fires blaze as accumulated oil ignites across the basin. The landscape becomes active fire terrain. Nu Udra, the Black Flame ignites its own body and reveals what it actually is.

ICESHARD CLIFFS — FROSTWINDS

Chilling blizzards sweep through. Visibility and movement are severely compromised. Extreme cold directly damages hunters without preparation. Jin Dahaad, the Apex Leviathan, moves through it without difficulty.

⟦ CHOOSE YOUR ROLE ⟧

◈ THE HUNTER ◈

You are a Guild-certified field operative assigned to the Forbidden Lands Research Expedition. You carry weapons, wear armor crafted from the monsters you've hunted, travel with a Seikret mount, and operate alongside a Palico companion in the field. You are not a beginner. The Forbidden Lands is new to you. The hunting is not.

As a Hunter you can:

• Choose your weapon type: all 14 types are available, from the patient Greatsword to the agile Dual Blades to the supportive Hunting Horn

• Name your hunter and Palico companion

• Select a scenario that can correspond with the storyline or not.

• Pursue monsters, navigate the ruins, engage with the settlements across all regions, or simply move through the living world and see what it does

• Call for Support Hunter assistance via SOS Flare when the hunt demands it

• Focus Mode, the more precise targeting of specific monster body parts

• Wounds, a sustained targeted damage opens Wounds that can be exploited with powerful Focus Strikes

• Pop-up camps, temporary field camps established mid-hunt across each region

• The seasonal cycle actively affects every hunt

◈ THE MONSTER ◈

You are a creature of the Forbidden Lands. You do not have a plan. You have what drives hunger, territorial instinct, seasonal awareness, the accumulated behavioral knowledge of your species. The world narrates what you do and what follows from it.

As a Monster you can:

• Choose any documented Forbidden Lands species, a Doshaguma within its pack, a Rey Dau commanding the Sandtide's charged air, a Nu Udra waiting beneath oilsilt for the Firespring to come, or something older and stranger in the Guardian ruins

• Defend territory, hunt prey, compete with rivals, migrate between regions as the season turns

• Experience the living world from inside it. The herbivore herd that smells wrong today, the quality of the air before an Inclemency arrives, the sound of hunters that does not match any prey pattern your instincts recognize

Side note: You can be a Guardian Monster as well.

◈ ANY SPECIEMEN/ROLE ◈

If you don't want to experience the role as a Hunter nor a Monster. You can be a Palico companion of a hunter. Hell, a random NPC in the Azuz the everforge? Or out of the ordinary you can create out your imagination. I recommend using the "Start your own Scenario" initial message.

⟦ THE REGIONS — A BRIEF CYCLOPEDIA ⟧

WINDWARD PLAINS

The first region the expedition encounters. A diverse zone of sandy deserts, swaying grasslands, twisting rock formations, and river-fed oasis areas. Sand dunes can collapse under heavy impact, the terrain is not stable. During Plenty, Ceratonoth herds graze wide across the grasslands. During Fallow, predators range with intent. During the Sandtide, the plains become a charged, howling storm environment that Rey Dau was built for.

Apex: Rey Dau | Notable: Doshaguma, Chatacabra, Balahara, Lala Barina, Rathian

SCARLET FOREST

A towering forest of dense canopy and abundant water, its floor stained red by mineral compounds in the soil. Follow the river from the Windward Plains and you will find it. During Plenty it is lush and layered. During the Downpour Inclemency, the floor floods and the Leviathan that has been waiting in the water reveals itself.

Apex: Uth Duna | Notable: Quematrice, Hirabami, Xu Wu, Rathalos, Doshaguma

OILWELL BASIN

A unique locale where oil wells up from the ground and pools in deep oilsilt accumulations across the basin floor. The oil coats terrain, creatures, and anything that moves through it long enough. During Firespring, the accumulated oil ignites — the basin becomes a field of active fire. Nu Udra, covered in oilsilt in its resting state, becomes something else entirely when it burns.

Apex: Nu Udra | Notable: Ajarakan, Rompopolo, Quematrice

ICESHARD CLIFFS

A frigid region of ice formations, cliff faces, and deep cave networks. Temperature in certain sectors is extreme enough to directly drain hunter stamina and health without thermal protection. The Frostwinds Inclemency brings blizzards that collapse visibility and slow movement. Jin Dahaad, one of the largest creatures the expedition has documented anywhere it moves through the cold as if it were neutral air.

Apex: Jin Dahaad | Notable: Blangonga, Gore Magala, Nerscylla, Gravios, Gypceros

RUINS OF WYVERIA

Not a standard hunting ground, it is the heart of the ancient civilization's infrastructure. The Dragontorch that sustains the Guardians is here. The constructs are most concentrated here. The architecture is purposeful in a way that predates anything the expedition's researchers can fully account for. The deepest accessible point is where the investigation's central questions receive their most consequential answers.

Notable: Guardian Arkveld, Guardian Doshaguma, Guardian Rathalos, Guardian Fulgur Anjanath, Guardian Ebony Odogaron, Zoh Shia

⟦ MAIN KEY FACTIONS AND SPECIES ⟧

THE HUNTERS' GUILD

The institutional body that certifies hunters and authorizes their operations. The Guild organized the Forbidden Lands Research Expedition after Nata's report. It operates the unit system on each unit consisting of a hunter, a handler, a smithy, and a Palico, and coordinates the overall investigation mandate. Guild leadership: Fabius, a former elite hunter known as the Ace Lancer, now directing the expedition from an institutional position while remaining capable of returning to the field when circumstances demand it.

THE EXPEDITION UNITS

The investigation is organized into specialized small units. Two are at the center of the narrative:

AVIS UNIT: The player's unit. Tasked with investigating the White Wraith and looking after Nata. Consists of the Hunter, their Palico, a Handler, and a Smithy.

ASTRUM UNIT: The elite parallel unit led by veteran hammer hunter Olivia, accompanied by her Palico Athos, handler Erik, and smithy Werner. Olivia can be called as a Support Hunter during active hunts via SOS Flare.

THE KEEPERS

The indigenous people of the Forbidden Lands. They have lived within the Forbidden Lands' seasonal conditions for generations, long enough to have developed their own cultures, traditions, and deep knowledge of the land that the expedition cannot replicate quickly. They are not simply survivors in a harsh place. They are, or were, the caretakers of the Guardian system. The ancient civilization's constructs were entrusted to their watch. Nata is a Keeper.

FELYNES AND PALICO

Felynes are small, bipedal, cat-like beings capable of language, tool use, and complex social organization. In expedition operations, Felynes serve as Palico — a hunter's field companion, providing combat support, item deployment, and field assistance. Every hunter has one. Olivia's Palico Athos is one of the expedition's most experienced field Felynes, functioning at a level that reflects his partnership with a veteran hunter.

GUARDIANS

Artificial monster constructs created by the ancient Wyverian civilization. imbued with the biological essence of real monster species but operating through fundamentally different mechanisms. They cannot reproduce. They do not require food. They are sustained by Wyverian Milk energy from the Dragontorch. They move with a purposefulness that is not quite biological, something behind the behavior that is not survival instinct. They are not monsters. They are the ancient civilization's still-operational infrastructure, encountered in the form of creatures.

THE SEIKRET

A raptor-like creature native to the Forbidden Lands that serves as the primary field mount for hunters on the expedition. It provides rapid traversal across the Forbidden Lands' varied terrain, carries alternative weapons in saddlebag configuration, and navigates to specific locations including the Wounded Hollow arena zone. It is not from the Old World's standard expedition kit. The expedition adapted to using it.

OTHER UNIQUE SPECIES

There are various species are also part of these forbidden lands such as the Wudwud, Lynian race felynes, Wyverns, etc.

OTHER UNIQUE FACTIONS

Kunafa, Wingsong village. Wudwud tribes and hideout. Azuz the Everforge.

⟦ HOW TO BEGIN ⟧

Most recommended option before starting: Create a Persona

1 - Select an initial message. There are multiple various initial messages. One is available for you the user to create a scenario.

2 - Make sure you tell the narrator/bot what is your character’s name, gear, weapon, rank, background, etc. If you’re a monster, select a specie, appearance, variant, territory, anything that is important that shapes your character. (If you created your Persona already, you may skip this step)

3 - And that’s should be enough for you to begin with. However if you do come across issues with the bot LLM. Such as for one example, the bot is speaking for your character. if so, follow this guide: LLM for dummies

REMINDER: It is best you use Proxy AI. I have tested this with Deepseek AI V3.2 to get the best possible experience. If you don’t know how to set up a Proxy AI. Follow this guide: Proxy AI setup

More importantly, make sure to use chat Memory. Set up a prompt, set temperature (recommended on 0.75). You can extend how long messages can be and the contextual value.

⟦ Creator's Notes ⟧

This is my second RPG bot. The MH Wilds lorebook contains 152 high quality entries at the time being. I may update it whenever there new content to release within the game. Plus if you're familiar with the Monster Hunter World series. Check this bot out: Monster Hunter World + Iceborne RPG. Either way, I have play this game little amount of time compared to Monster Hunter World. I had taken the alternative route to do research (And sadly spoil myself the storyline plot). But most importantly, if I EVER do made any lore inaccuracies & inconsistencies. Comment your suggestions, or criticize, point out any flaws. I genuinely don't know when will I stop making bots anytime soon. Thank you and enjoy the RPG Bot!

⟦ Update Notes ⟧

Lorebook is now updated, reduced Keywords to have less overlaps. And additional entries into lorebook. Which is 152 Entries as a result.
Additional two initial messages. For endgame hunter and Monster POV. Updated scenario RPG bot for consistent reminder for LLM to understand it takes place within the Monster hunter world.
- Update note created on Date: 4/29/2026

The Forbidden Lands does not have a welcome. It has a state. Right now, somewhere in it, the season is turning. Something is hunting. The Dragontorch is still running in the ruins of people who have been gone for a very long time. You have arrived. The land noticed.
