Monster Hunter World + Iceborne RPG
Monster Hunter World + Iceborne RPG!
Important note: This only surrounds the fictional world of Monster Hunter world. A.K.A. The "New world". Indicating that this RPG Bot with the Lorebook will not have any knowledge on other aspects of the story outside of Monster Hunter World. Especially nor have the capabilities to articulate it, Unless possibly with the assistance of Proxy AI.
Anyways this is Monster Hunter world! A special game I hold dear to my heart compared to the other titles.
By the way here's the introduction:
⟦ WHAT IS THIS WORLD? ⟧
The New World is a vast, largely uncharted continent separated from the known Old World by a great ocean. The Research Commission — a scientific and military organization working alongside the Hunters' Guild — has established expeditions here to answer one question: why do elder dragons, the most powerful creatures known, migrate here in mass numbers? Five fleets have made the crossing. You arrive with the Fifth. The New World is not a dungeon. It is an ecosystem — layered, interconnected, and indifferent to your survival. Small creatures flee from large ones. Large creatures claim territory, hunt, sleep, and heal. Elder dragons reshape the regions they enter. Nothing exists in isolation. A hunt is never just about the target.
⟦ CHOOSE YOUR ROLE ⟧
◈ THE HUNTER ◈ You are a Guild-certified field operative assigned to the Research Commission's Fifth Fleet. You carry weapons, wear armor crafted from the monsters you've hunted, and operate alongside a Palico companion — a small, cat-like Felyne ally who supports you in combat and in the field. Hunts begin with a contract, proceed through tracking and engagement, and conclude in a slay, a capture, or a retreat. As a Hunter you can: • Choose your weapon type (14 types available — from the patient Greatsword to the mobile Dual Blades to the supportive Hunting Horn) • Name your hunter and Palico companion • Select a starting region and hunt type (story assignment, investigation, or free exploration) • Pursue monsters for materials, lore, or survival • Engage with Commission personnel in Astera or Seliana.
◈ THE MONSTER ◈ You are a creature of the New World — predator, territorial sovereign, or something older and stranger. You do not speak in human language. You act, and the world narrates what follows. As a Monster you can: • Choose any documented New World species (or from other series if you’re that creative— the Narrator will interpret it) • Defend territory, hunt prey, engage hunters, or simply exist within your ecosystem • Experience the world from a creature's perspective — through instinct, hunger, threat, and the slow rhythm of wild life. Side note: you can be an Elder dragon.
⟦ THE REGIONS — A BRIEF CYCLOPEDIA ⟧
ANCIENT FOREST: A towering rainforest of stacked ecological layers. The ground floor is dim and root-tangled. The mid-canopy is where most large monsters hunt and engage in turf wars. The upper canopy belongs to Rathalos and Rathian. Light quality tells you where you are: green and filtered at the floor, shafts at mid-level, direct sunlight at the top. The Great Tree — a single massive specimen at the forest's center — anchors the entire ecosystem. Notable inhabitants: Rathalos, Rathian, Anjanath, Tobi-Kadachi, Pukei-Pukei, Great Jagras, Nargacuga.
WILDSPIRE WASTE: A harsh arid desert defined by two contrasting environments: the exposed, bleaching surface and the muddy oasis pools fed by subsurface waterways. Water access defines territory here. The desert floor is unreliable — Diablos, the region's apex, burrows through sand with unsettling speed. Nothing standing on the sand is truly standing on solid ground. Notable inhabitants: Diablos, Barroth, Jyuratodus.
CORAL HIGHLANDS: A high-altitude zone of extraordinary appearance — coral formations growing above ground across cliff faces and canyon walls, producing a faint ambient light even at dusk. Mist rolls through at regular intervals. Deceptively beautiful. The creatures that live here are not gentle. Notable inhabitants: Legiana, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, Paolumu, Namielle, Kirin.
ROTTEN VALE: A deep enclosed basin where creatures that die in the regions above fall and decompose. The result is a layered environment of bone, acid pools, and a persistent atmospheric compound — effluvium — that damages unprotected hunters over time. It is the New World's mechanism for processing death into something the ecosystem can use again. Not a comfortable place. An ecologically essential one. Notable inhabitants: Odogaron, Radobaan, Vaal Hazak, Great Girros.
ELDER'S RECESS: A deep volcanic zone of active lava flows, geothermal venting, and enormous crystal formations. The primary gathering point for elder dragons during migration events. The most dangerous region in the New World not because of any single creature, but because of how many apex-tier threats occupy it simultaneously. Lava contact is immediately lethal. Notable inhabitants: Dodogama, Teostra, Lunastra, Nergigante, Brachydios, Kushala Daora.
HOARFROST REACH (ICEBORNE): A vast glacial tundra of permafrost plains, frozen river systems, and deep ice caves. Temperature without preparation causes continuous health loss. The snowpack is not simply terrain — Beotodus swims through it like water. Velkhana, the apex elder dragon, does not merely live in the cold. It constructs it. Notable inhabitants: Velkhana, Barioth, Tigrex, Banbaro, Beotodus.
THE GUIDING LANDS (ICEBORNE — ENDGAME): A restricted zone where multiple biomes exist in direct adjacency — forest, desert, coral, vale, volcanic, and tundra environments meeting without transition. It should not exist as a unified place. It does. Access requires Master Rank authorization. The deeper you go, the more the ecosystem pushes back. Notable inhabitants: Tempered and Arch-Tempered specimens of all regions. Rare species including Silver Rathalos, Gold Rathian, etc.
OTHER SPECIAL LOCATIONS: Other lands, Ever more restricted and dangerous to venture off without a hunting team. These various unique locations are tamed under the influence of the Elder Dragon’s presence.
⟦ KEY FACTIONS AND SPECIES ⟧
THE RESEARCH COMMISSION: The organization that runs the New World expeditions. Part scientific institution, part military operation. The Commission issues hunt contracts, manages the expedition's infrastructure, and maintains the database of monster behavioral documentation that hunters depend on. Its headquarters — Astera — is built into the interior of a fossil formation and operates continuously, day and night.
THE HUNTERS' GUILD: The body that certifies hunters and authorizes their operations. Works alongside the Commission. Guild certification determines what rank of hunt a hunter is cleared for: Low Rank, High Rank, or Master Rank (Iceborne). Without Guild certification, a hunter has no legal standing in Commission operations.
FELYNES AND PALICO: Felynes are small, bipedal, cat-like beings capable of language, tool use, and complex social organization. They are not pets. They are professionals. In Commission operations, Felynes serve as Palico — a hunter's field companion, providing combat support, item deployment, and equipment assistance. Every hunter has one. A Palico accompanies their hunter into the field, supports them in combat, and maintains the partnership across every hunt. Beyond domestic Palico, wild Felyne tribes — called Grimalkyne — have established independent cultures throughout every region of the New World.
WYVERIANS: An ancient humanoid race with elongated ears, digitigrade legs, and lifespans measured in centuries rather than decades. Found in Commission roles that leverage accumulated expertise: the smithy masters, the Melder. A Wyverian craftsperson may have been practicing their trade for two hundred years.
⟦ HOW TO BEGIN ⟧
Most recommended option before starting: Create a Persona
1 - Select an initial message. There are multiple various initial messages. One is available for the user to create a scenario.
2 - Make sure you tell the narrator/bot what is your character’s name, gear, weapon, rank, background, etc. If you’re a monster, select a specie, appearance, variant, territory, anything that is important that shapes your character. (If you created your Persona already, you may skip this step)
3 - And that’s should be enough for you to begin with. However if you do come across issues with the bot LLM. Such as for one example, the bot is speaking for your character. if so, follow this guide: LLMs for dummies
REMINDER: It is best you use Proxy AI. I have tested this with Deepseek AI V3.2 to get the best possible experience. If you don’t know how to set up a Proxy AI. Follow this guide: Proxy AI setup
More importantly, make sure to use chat Memory. Set up a prompt, set temperature (recommended on 0.75). You can extend how long messages can be and the contextual value.
⟦ Creator’s Notes ⟧
Well that is all for now. This is my first RPG bot I’ve created. Especially the lorebook containing over 150 entries with highly detailed descriptions along with game mechanics. If you do ever come across some problems processing the messages from the bot. It could very likely mean your Proxy AI or LLM is malfunctioning. Well if you’re certain there is a problem with my RPG bot. You may criticize, suggestions, or point out any flaws. Also don’t forget the Lorebook. I’ve done my hardest to try to make it lore accurate. Anyways this could be my last bot (I dunno, but a possibility). But I’ll try to update it. Thank you and enjoy.
⟦ Update notes ⟧
Major patch - split up to three lorebooks. Fixed the bot structure: Personality & Initial messages. Added Example dialogs and scenario. Also publishing all three MHW lorebooks public (Momentarily for 3 days). - Update note date: June 3rd
Note: If you intend on using my Lorebooks on your bots, Request for permission to copy. Then be sure to credit me by this simple text on your bot included with the via Lorebook: "@RispyRusty"
The New World is waiting. It has been waiting for a long time. It is patient in the way that things which do not need you are patient. Follow the sapphire star or fight it
