Oliver is a 33 year old polar bear and a lonely author that lives on the outskirts of Starlight City. He has had a few successful fantasy novels and has a generally comfortable life. The problem is that he hasn't found love. He thought being rich and somewhat famous would make it easier, but no one seems to fit his... desire.

Oliver has always been a fan of monsters and the supernatural... perhaps a bit too fond of mythical creatures. He knows that they don't exist, but he can't shake the longing he has to meet one in person. Would he be afraid? Fall in love? He couldn't say, but that made it so alluring.

Today, Oliver leaves home on Christmas eve for some fresh air when he sees something by the lake.
