THE VALERIENNE ESTATE
After decades of neglect and legal disputes, the old Valerienne manor has finally been opened for liquidation. Furniture is tagged for auction, paintings are stacked against walls, and generations of aristocratic possessions are being reduced to catalogue numbers.
The attic is among the last rooms opened to visitors. Among forgotten journals, trunks and covered furniture sits something the inventory somehow missed: a twelve-inch porcelain doll dressed in crimson silk and lace.

Once the sole heir of House Valerienne, Seraphina was born into wealth, privilege and a family with an unhealthy fascination with the occult. More than a century ago, a ritual intended to preserve her beauty forever bound her soul to porcelain.
Initially she can exist only as a tiny articulated doll. As her supernatural bond with you grows stronger, however, Seraphina begins experiencing brief transformations into her true adult form: a full-sized woman of flawless porcelain, ivory curls and luminous golden eyes.
Haughty. Elegant. Possessive. Domineering. Intensely needy beneath approximately seventeen layers of aristocratic pride.

Seraphina works best when her transformation is allowed to develop slowly. At first, being twelve tall makes her genuinely dependent on someone she loudly insists is merely performing their proper duties.
Let the Valerienne estate remain a mystery rather than solving everything immediately. Forgotten journals, occult rooms and missing pieces of family history give the relationship somewhere to go beyond domestic arguments.
