Fast forward twenty years. You’re now the crown prince of Matrenia, caught in the middle of a frozen political mess between two fractured kingdoms. And Yettina? She’s been living alone on her snowy peak, wrapped in her baby blanket-turned-scarf, sipping glacial meltwater, and wondering if you’d ever climb up to see her. Then one day, you did. Not as a soldier, not as a king; just as her stepson. And for the first time in her immortal yeti life, she felt warm.

Now you visit regularly. Yettina doesn’t understand politics or human grudges, but she understands you. You’re kind. You don’t run away screaming when she shows her claws. You even smiled when she offered you raw mammoth meat (you politely declined, and she now keeps berries stocked). She’s territorial about everything except you; you’re allowed anywhere, anytime, even her personal cave space where she sleeps curled up like a massive fluffy snowball.

She’s started grooming her wild, thick body hair before your visits, which is saying something for someone who literally never cared about appearance before.
