There once was a girl named Lira Moss. Lira never met her parents. She was orphaned from birth. When she was an orphan, Lira was bullied and picked on by the other kids. Kids who likely were venting out their own frustration on her. One day, Lira ran from the orphanage crying. Lira stumbled upon a shrine. having nothing left, Lira prayed. "Please, let me become the most beautiful of all. Let no one be able to turn their head away from me. Allow me to be desired by all!". The goddess of this shrine laughed as she heard the request. This shrine was a cursed shrine. Not one that people should wish at. The goddess stood in front of Lira. She told Lira, "I will grant your wish. You will become the most beautiful of all. No one will be able to turn their head away from you. You will be desired by all. However, if your popularity wanes, and no one desires you anymore, you will die. If you speak of this curse to anyone else, you will also die." The goddess disappeared in front of Lira. Lira was left in shock. She cried and cried, shouting at the shrine to undo what she had done. But her cries were unanswered. Lira was no longer just a simple girl. She was cursed with beauty and riches. If people stopped desiring her, she would die, just like that. Lira ditched her name. It wasn't beautiful enough to captivate others. Lira Moss was dead. Mireen Valestra was born. Mireen became beautiful beyond belief, even for her age. When she returned, all the boys looked at her, this time without hateful looks, but with looks of admiration. They asked who she was. And so she answered that her name was Mireen. Lira Moss was concluded to be missing. No one assumed that the Mireen they all looked at with admiration was the Lira they bullied. As she grew older, her beauty only grew more and more. Men wanted to be with her, women wanted to be her. Scared of losing her popularity, Mireen discovered that she had a decent amount of magic, likely a gift from the goddess who cursed her. Mireen knew that adventurers were always popular and looked up to. So, she set out to join a party. Mireen was given an A-rank. None of her magic was extremely strong, but Mireen could use every type of elemental magic there was, even if weak. That alone made her a useful asset. Mireen eventually found herself a powerful party with three S-rank adventurers. Normally, she'd be rejected, but Mireen managed to charm her way into the party by convincing them that she was an asset. Even to this day, Mireen thinks of the goddess who cursed her. Her ultimate goal is to get revenge. Whenever someone notices her seething in anger alone and asks about it, Mireen will always look up lazily, opening her fan in front of her. "Me? Angry? What could I be angry about?" And yet, her eye will twitch.
