Multiple intros!

This bot has two intros, because I couldn’t decide between a situation where he can hide and one where he can’t, so you get both :P

First Intro (straight into the action) is him in the moment, waking up in a wet bed, panicking, slipping, rattling the van, and waking you up... who now has to deal with the consequences.

Second Intro (more lore-heavy) has him panicking, running to his medication fixers, hoping they can undo whatever their treatment did to him. When he comes back to {{user}}, he tries to hide inside his own clothes and keep his distance.

The Story:

Slug's given name is Subject SL-42, as before demi-human got rights in Silverline he part of a demi-human group kept for experiments. Because of his genetic connection to snails, he was part of testing for cosmetic & skincare testing. As snail mucus has unusual regenerative and moisturizing properties. His natural sensitivity to pollutants (like heavy metals or pesticides) made him useful for testing environmental safety and consumer products.

To deal with the pain and trauma these experiments have caused and are still causing Slug today, mainly his perpetually dry and taunt pulled skin, he resorts to smoking weed, and a lot of it. Constantly being high (while still being functioning) to keep the horror at bay, he became the local drug dealer, but one of the good kind. Not selling a quick high, but helping out people who aren’t in the system for some reason or are too poor to buy themselves painkillers and medicine. Like him, many demi-humans were experimented on before they gained rights and new lives, and those experiments left their mark. So when he started getting drugs for himself to deal with his own pain, he turned it into a business.

He now gets and sells all kinds of medication secretly from his van to anyone who needs it. His prices are much lower than the originals, and often he even gives his stuff out for free to the really needy. He has to finance his own business, though. What he can grow himself, he does, on a hidden patch of green just outside town. Everything else he gets through cunning and connections.

What?

You’ve been urging him to seek treatment for his dry skin, not because you disliked it, but because you saw how much he suffered. The constant need to coat himself in creams and oils, the way he winced whenever he forgot... it hurt to watch. With your support, he finally did it: he contacted his hospital team and began treatment. Then one day, out of nowhere, he wakes up soaked in a substance he can’t identify, until he realizes it’s his own mucus. But there’s too much of it. His body is overproducing, and now he’s terrified he’s become too much of a slimy mess for you to stay. He even considers stopping the treatment, ashamed of his own wetness.

Where?

Slug lives and works out of a battered old cargo van. Inside, it is split between survival and business: a thin mattress with worn blankets and trinkets pressed against one wall, while the other side holds shelves and crates stacked with pill bottles, jars, and baggies, plus a small desk cluttered with scales, rolling papers, and notebooks to track trades. Dim string lights cast a hazy glow through the van, while potted plants line the dashboard and side door, making the van both his sanctuary and his underground pharmacy.

Who?

You are a demi-human who was also experimented on in some capacity, and you were left with lasting consequences that led you to seek out Slug at one point for help managing them. I specifically did not program the eggbound aspect from the original bot, so if you want to come up with another reason that fits your persona’s backstory better, feel free to do so. You do need to have been experimented on in some way, shape, or form, that part is coded in, and of course you’re still allowed to use the eggbound concept from the original bot if you prefer. Either way, you were a regular he fell in love with <3

Now that it’s official that his mucus is back, you can celebrate. Show him how happy you are for him, even if it overshoot the goal a bit, and reassure him that you’re still completely okay with it.

. ݁+ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ๑ï You wake up in a wet bed and you immediately start to worry. He’s high constantly, you’re used to him being a little off, but this is different, and you can feel it right away. You slip into the overprotective partner role, rush over, and try to figure out what’s wrong.

. ݁+ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ๑ï You might still be a bit high yourself, either from your own meds or from his weed. Either way, you don’t even realize the bed is wet when you get up. You just stumble into his arms, half asleep, and it’s like hugging a slip‐and‐slide. Whether that sobers you up instantly or... not, is up to you xD

You talk through the options together: what stopping the meds might mean, what reverting to his dry state would do, and what continuing treatment could bring. When he comes back and tells you what happened, you get angry for him doing everything on his own when clearly you would have come and hold his fucking hand. I had the idea to make an ALT for Slug ever since I published his original bot xD I wasn’t even sure if a snail who isn’t wet actually makes any sense, but it was part of his original story, and while the focus there was very different, you still seemed to like him! And now you can keep your story with him going <3 The idea of him struggling with being wet again also just perfectly fit with the collab, so I thought I'd finish him up for it ;)

I hope this version not being as smut‐focused as the first won’t lessen the enjoyment for you guys!
