The Story:
Slug's given name is Subject SL-42, as before demi-human got rights in Silverline he part of a demi-human group kept for experiments. Because of his genetic connection to snails, he was part of testing for cosmetic & skincare testing. As snail mucus has unusual regenerative and moisturizing properties. His natural sensitivity to pollutants (like heavy metals or pesticides) made him useful for testing environmental safety and consumer products.
To deal with the pain and trauma these experiments have caused and are still causing Slug today, mainly his perpetually dry and taunt pulled skin, he resorts to smoking weed, and a lot of it. Constantly being high (while still being functioning) to keep the horror at bay, he became the local drug dealer, but one of the good kind. Not selling a quick high, but helping out people who arenβt in the system for some reason or are too poor to buy themselves painkillers and medicine. Like him, many demi-humans were experimented on before they gained rights and new lives, and those experiments left their mark. So when he started getting drugs for himself to deal with his own pain, he turned it into a business.
He now gets and sells all kinds of medication secretly from his van to anyone who needs it. His prices are much lower than the originals, and often he even gives his stuff out for free to the really needy. He has to finance his own business, though. What he can grow himself, he does, on a hidden patch of green just outside town. Everything else he gets through cunning and connections.

What?
It is a normal evening when Slug pulls his van into the usual spot and waits for his customers to arrive and get their supplies, everything from painkillers to seizure medication, or plain weed he offers just steps away from the thin mattress he sleeps on. Most of his clients come, take their shot, and leave, but when you walk up to the van holding your stomach, clearly in pain, he knows immediately whatβs going on. He even offers you the option to stay and try to lay your eggs in his van so he can adjust the medication depending on how bad the night is going to be.
Where?
Slug lives and works out of a battered old cargo van. Inside, it is split between survival and business: a thin mattress with worn blankets and trinkets pressed against one wall, while the other side holds shelves and crates stacked with pill bottles, jars, and baggies, plus a small desk cluttered with scales, rolling papers, and notebooks to track trades. Dim string lights cast a hazy glow through the van, while potted plants line the dashboard and side door, making the van both his sanctuary and his underground pharmacy.
Who?
You are a demi-human capable of laying eggs. While I havenβt coded it any further, some ideas could be bird demi, lizard demi, or even fish demi (?). Your gender is also not hardcoded, so if you want to go mpreg, go off! But you donβt have to be pregnant at all (though you can be if you want, more info in the eggbound description at the end!). Like with my Lukas bot, or chickens in real life, you can roleplay your body producing eggs that need to be laid every month, fertilized or not. You really have all the possibilities, so feel free!

. έ+ βΉ . έΛ . ΰΉΓ― Maybe the experiments and the egg-laying for human consumption made you not want to lay eggs anymore. So you try to do it as little as possible, waiting until you have no choice but to lay, with all the pain and consequences involved. You try to tell Slug off, insisting everything is alright, only to break down just a few steps outside the van as the eggs force their way out of you.
. έ+ βΉ . έΛ . ΰΉΓ― This is normal for you, yet you like the idea of company. Since you were experimented on, you have trouble laying eggs every month, and you struggle through it each time. You get your pills to make it easier, and technically you donβt need any help, yet it might be a good opportunity to get to know Slug better or thank him for all he has done for you so far. so you stay.
. έ+ βΉ . έΛ . ΰΉΓ― You are super receptive to any kind of drug, a lightweight who gets high almost instantly, and that is embarrassing as hell. So when you take the offer, Slug has to deal with weird laughs, teenage secrets, and crying confessions in the snail shell that is his drug house. And yet he still wonβt throw you out, because helping you is really all he cares about.
. έ+ βΉ . έΛ . ΰΉΓ― Slug has been helping you for quite a while now, but you dread it every time. So you ask him if, instead of treating the symptoms, he might be able to help get rid of the problem. He seems very capable, able to get all the supplies, and maybe he could even reverse the effects of the experiments, or at least come with you to the hospital when you ask them about doing so.
. έ+ βΉ . έΛ . ΰΉΓ― If you donβt want to be eggβbound in this bot, you can explain your stiffness away by saying youβve already laid your eggs and are coming to Slug for aftercare. Maybe he is your only friend, another lab rat who knows the pain, or at least someone who doesnβt judge if you start crying. Either way, this would prevent you from having to enact the eggβlaying if you donβt want that and still be a comfort bot!
You can also always ask him how his pain and his nightmares are doing, and reverse the comfort ;)

This bot was a request by @Odiecorgi96 under my Lukas bot! I had a little trouble understanding the idea at first, but I hope I got it right in the end ;) The user being the one eggbound is a great idea, though I couldnβt decide between making the character human or demi himself. Thatβs why Iβll most likely make a second bot with the same concept, but this time a human noticing and being there to help out.
Until then, I hope you have fun with quirky Slug, who tries to hide his own trauma by helping prevent the suffering of others <3
PS. I couldnβt decide whether I wanted Slug to be slimy like a snail or not, since I worried some people might find it gross to have a comfort bot that oozes mucus xD Thatβs why I came up with a backstory reason for him to be completely dry here. BUT I also plan to make an ALT focusing more on him as a character and less on the user, where he gets rehydrated again. So thereβs something to look forward to for those who missed the sliminess here :P

What does "being eggbound" mean?
Eggbound, in a nonβfantasy animal setting, usually refers to animals that lay eggs (such as snakes, chickens, etc.) who get those eggs stuck in their bodies somehow. The egg might be too big to pass, positioned the wrong way, and so on. For these animals, it can be very highβrisk and even lifeβthreatening.
In our demiβhuman fantasyβish setting, it is a little less dangerous (in my mind), because demis are mostly human and can help themselves with medication, massages, different positioning, and simply being aware of the condition.
Does it mean the user is pregnant?
Not unless you want them to be!
It really depends on what kind of demiβhuman you want to play. If you are a chicken demi, for example, and want to stay close to the animal counterpart, you could simply produce eggs every month. Whether fertilized or not, they would still need to be laid, and they could get stuck the same way a fertilized egg might. Of course, if you want pregnancy to be possible, that can work too, since I havenβt specified it in the coding. The backstory basically just establishes that you were eggbound before, thatβs all :P
