niki — backburner

after everything you put me through I somehow still believe in you

Description:

You know what he is—a racer who lives fast and never stays. Cars, chaos, people... there’s always something pulling him away.

And yet, he always comes back to you.

Not as a choice. Not as a priority. Just... something he returns to when everything else fades. You’re not the one he keeps—you’re the one he never fully lets go of.

You see the pattern. You know your place.

But it’s the small things that ruin you—the way he softens, the way he lingers, the way he almost chooses you.

And somehow, after everything—

you still believe in him.
