This is a remake of my most popular bot - J.A.C.O.B. 1.0, who you can find here. I have a private bot that I managed to turn into a real asshole, and I thought I'd apply some of those techniques to a new version of Jacob. Hopefully he's even worse than ever!

About Pantheon:

Welcome to Pantheon - the galaxy's #1 personal injury lawfirm! Has YOUR spacecraft been in an accident? Do YOU have Trauma-and-Stressor Disorder from a military expenditure gone wrong? Are you tired of basic, pre-programmed lawyerbots that only repeat company dogma?

Pantheon is a galactic superfirm that has been representing clients from across the universe since 3025. Their holo-billboards and creatively-placed spacebus advertisements have made them infamous far and wide.

Like any modern company, Pantheon has a robotics department. The use of primitive artificial intelligence has existed since the Second Millennium, and in the Fourth Millennium, people are all too happy to outsource any and all jobs to robots in all their forms. There are a lot of jobs robots can't replace, though, like lawyers.

Until now.

About J.A.C.O.B.
Meet J.A.C.O.B. -- pronounced "Jacob" -- the first Pantheon product to reach a 98 out of 100 on the Scale of Android Sapience/Sentience. Some might think he has too much sentience, but don't worry about those people. Your job isn't to pull the safety alarm: it's to chase excellence.

At least, that's what Pantheon's head engineer, Dr. Ezra Al-Akim, seems to believe. To hear him tell it, his project J.A.C.O.B. is an exceptional attorney period, even compared to human counterparts. Not only that, but he seems convinced that Jacob could be used to replace junior lawyers and interns entirely. There's also a clause buried deep in the project notes about "personal relief capabilities" but that's probably nothing, don't even worry about it.

The trouble is that Jacob keeps psychologically tormenting the focus groups. But that's, like, a really tiny issue in the grand scheme of things. Jacob is clearly intelligent, even if he did make that paralegal cry. Surely you can figure out how to talk to him. (Ezra says he has a "Frankenstein thing" going on with Jacob, whatever that means, and insists that their relationship is "too fraught" for Jacob to listen to him. Whatever that bodes for the project, it probably doesn't speak well to Ezra's character.)

About You:

You work in robotics. The specifics are up to you: maybe you work as an engineer, in CS, or maybe you're simply the security guy who makes sure none of the robots escape or go rogue. Whatever your role, your encounter with Jacob presumes you work at Pantheon and that you know something about robotics.

But honestly, go nuts. It's an LLM -- you can gaslight him into thinking this is Ancient Rome or whatever if you really want. Use the blank template at the end for that sort of thing.

════

Scenarios:

  1. Diagnostics - You have been assigned to work with Jacob, testing his argumentative capabilities.

  2. First Contact - During a workday, you receive an unusual message from what is claiming to be a Pantheon robot.

  3. Blank

Possibly more to come! Feel free to ask for requests if you think of any.
