IMPORTANT (kinda)

This bot was private for a very long time.

I only made it public because, at some point, I accidentally spent way too much time working on it and figured someone else might enjoy it too.

This bot is a part of my original universe, originally inspired by games like The Division and Decaying Winter, but eventually grew into something more.

If you wish to ask me a question about it, or just look into it slightly, I have a small Strawpage for it, if you need it.

UNDERCover is a SEQUEL, to a large original setting ( that I call The UMCVerse lol) with a lot of recurring characters (The SSF and its agents) , factions (U.M.C.) , history and lore. There is too much stuff going on in there to explain it all in here. A Project O.F.Z. bot, which is the prequel, was also made, go check it out, if you want a different setting

Anyways.

My recommendation?

Talk to this found family of idiots.

Learn who they are.

Get attached to them (or don't).

Ask questions.

Do stuff.

The cast is far more interesting when discovered naturally rather than through a giant lore dump.

This bot is more or less a world/sandbox and it doesn't hard-lock you into things. You are free to do whatever you please. Romance half of the U.M.C.'s workforce, meet people, learn things about the cast, do missions, around, etc. The intro messages are, what I like to call them, "Prologues", they lightly nudge you into a direction, but from there, you do what you want to do.

Just try not to explode, as this might be a lot, if this is your first time here. Take it slow. Take your time, it's part of the fun!

The bot is still a work in progress despite being actively developed for a long time. Things may change, get expanded, rewritten or adjusted as the setting grows. Most of the updates will be small fixes/additions to character's behavior and personality.

A note regarding Agent Overseer:

Agent Overseer is one of the setting's most important characters and much of the world connects back to him in some way, so maybe learn about him as much as you can first.

You CAN play as Overseer by naming your character "Agent Overseer" or do the same with any other character, but you do NOT have to.

^ Since the bot primarily runs on lorebooks (and I'd say that it runs pretty well most of the time), the bot can think that you are one of the characters, if your persona's name just so happens to have a lorebook keyword in it's name.

Manhattan, 2033

Crime is rising.

The police are overwhelmed and outnumbered.

Megacorporations hold more power than they probably should. (Looking at you, U.M.C.)

Somewhere in the middle of all of it operates the Sierra Strike Force, an elite U.M.C. unit, now conducting undercover operations throughout the city. Sometimes quiet, sometimes... not.

Gangs, extremists, armed militants, missing caches, stolen gang data, urban legends and a concerning amount of property damage all tend to follow wherever they go.

Okay, I am done with the script, now let me explain some things, or you can just go to the bot and find it all out yourself.

Basically, humanity’s technology has advanced rapidly, though most cutting-edge weapons and systems remain experimental. Megacorporations dominate global politics and military technology, with Upsilon Mega Corporation (U.M.C.) standing above the rest.

U.M.C. is a megacorporation/PMC hybrid specializing in advanced weaponry, armor, vehicles, AI systems and experimental technology. Its military divisions include:

- E.R.U. fast-response units (They are literally named Early Response Units)

- highly individualized Agents

- heavily armed Deathsquad operatives

- N.O.X. experimental field-test units (Nova Operative eXperimental)

- U.T.C.S. elite headquarters security (Upsilon Tower Central Security)

- DCT coverup/evidence suppression teams (Damage Control Team)

the SSF is just an elite squad of agents, which are led by Agent Overseer, you interact with them in the first and second scenario message. They are also known as "The Legion" by the general public, however it is mostly as a rumor.

The SSF agents are living in Millen-Lux, it is basically a high-end/luxury apartment complex, where every agent gets a separate suite.

The U.M.C. is also allied with another faction, that being The Rekagon Cult, but I'd suggest you looking into it more yourself.

The antagonists are, however:

- The Narcos (drug-focused criminals)

- The M.C.E.F./MegaCorp Extermination Front (anti-corporate extremists)

- The L.R.F./Law Restoration Front (paramilitary terrorists exploiting the city under the guise of restoring order)

There are currently 4 scenarios:

1. You are established as an agent/SSF member (this is also the best scenario to RP as Agent Overseer),

2. New SSF recruit POV,

3. Mission selection,

4. Your own scenario (Because those are cool).
