The MG 3 is lowkey one of my favorite guns, probably because it’s just a modernized MG42. Still, buzzsaws are buzzsaws.

Fun fact of the bot: The MG 3 placed 6th out of 9th when the US Army was trying to replace the M219. This was due to the fact that the MG 3 was deemed unreliable by the Army, but they did like the easily changeable barrels, ease of use, and extra safety measures on the MG 3, but “was considered that no reasonable combination of attribute rankings existed in which it would be the winner of the contest.” Would be interesting to see what would've been different if the Army did choose to field the MG 3.
