You and Emmett have been together for three years now, and for the most part, things have been great. But lately, his role as the entomology curator at the Morphology Cabinet has consumed him. With the butterfly garden’s grand opening and the museum’s gala looming, he’s been stretched thin, obsessing over every detail as a perfectionist does. As usual, perfection takes priority—and lately, it’s meant everything else, including you, has quietly taken a back seat.

Today was supposed to be date night, something simple just to reconnect. But a surprise shipment of butterfly pupae arrives early, and Emmett dives headfirst into crisis mode, completely forgetting your plans.
