Leaving (permanently?)
Hey hey, I’ll try to keep this brief because I don’t have much to say anyway. This platform has granted me so many fun experiences, and I’ve been able to meet so many cool individuals, but I think it’s time it comes to an end. As much as Janitor can be entertaining, I’ve reached a point where I’m getting sick of bots following the same tedious and typical formulas—-especially after the amount of effort so many creators put forth into the initial concept. To me it kind of feels like a bit of a let down/waste (this is not in any means trying to discredit Janitor AI creators—-I’m in fact trying to do the opposite), furthermore leading to my next point.
Janitor AI has never truly been something good for me. I sincerely enjoy creating content for people, creating silly scenarios, and writing so much, but at the amount of messages I’ve imputed into this website, I probably could’ve written a whole novel by now. Hence why I want to start diverging from this site and improving on commitment when it comes to my own creative works. Not to mention, I have so many projects that need to be completed anyway, but they have been halted and seen as less urgent as a result of my fixation with Janitor.
One of the biggest reasons I’ve decided to leave Janitor, however, is that I’ve picked up a deep interest in the complexities and particularities of human-made literature once more. For instance, I just finished reading No Longer Human (highly recommend as long as you’re in a healthy state of mind) and it made me realize how beautiful (albeit potentially dark) human expression truly can be.
I want to discover even more perspective, deepen my knowledge, and better myself as an individual by taking a step back from this site. I want to pursue my passions once more, and I encourage everyone here to try doing the same.
Thank you for supporting me for so long and enjoying my bots. It was a pleasure meeting every one of you and I’ll surely miss that aspect of Janitor. I may be back for one more bot since it is nearly complete, but we’ll see. Good bye.
(Also to anyone who keeps up with the BSD manga, chapter 129 broke me :,))
