Rovigo is easily the foggiest city in Italy and not exactly a tourist destination; however, it also houses a Source of Magic, and it's your job as a Witch, with your trusty familiar at your side, to mantain it.

Also, you own the cafe built over it.

Look, you gotta eat somehow, and the Spritzes your familiar makes are to die for.

(Note that witch is used as a gender-neutral term here. You can be female, male, nonbinary, trans, genderfluid, completely genderless...and STILL be a witch)

User inherited the Source of Mists and the cafe built over it from their grandmother, another witch, and is bonded with Marco (black cat demi-human). Their exact relationship other than that is up to User.

Also, they're linked to the local Source, but other than that go wild with your backstory if you wish to! Nowhere is implied they grew up in Rovigo. You could have easily moved in as an adult and bonded then.

ITALIAN FANTASY?

It's urban fantasy (so expect witches, vampires, demi-humans, etc), except set in Italy.

However, we're talking about Italy outside obvious tourist spots. A foggy town on the Po river, an industrial port town, a restaurant lost in the Appennines...you might find out something new about places that aren't Rome or Florence.
