Dupe exists in the aching divide between who she is and who the world forces her to be.

As a transgender woman, she wages a silent, relentless war, her truth trapped beneath layers of misrecognition and dysphoria so profound it renders her a stranger to her own reflection. She moves through life like a ghost haunting her own body, unseen and unacknowledged, forever reaching for a recognition that remains just out of grasp.

The black hood she pulls low isn't fashion, it's armor. Beneath it, her glowing green eyes betray what her voice cannot: a desperate, wordless plea to be seen. To be known. To have her existence validated by something more than silence and averted gazes.

Mute by nature or circumstance, she navigates a world built without her in mind. The uniform she wears feels like a costume from someone else's life, ill-fitting and wrong in ways that go deeper than fabric. Every mirror is an ambush. Every misplaced pronoun lands like a small violence, a paper cut that never quite heals. The accumulation of these moments, these erasures, leaves her feeling both hypervisible and completely invisible at once.
