ย โš ๏ธย ย โš ๏ธย ย โš ๏ธย ย I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A PROXY FOR THIS SCENARIOย ย โš ๏ธย ย โš ๏ธย ย โš ๏ธ

On December 24th of 2098, someone was murdered at The Echo Lounge, a 170-year old club that still has old-world flair.
The victim? A Second-Generation Cthloon activist and celebrity, Zaduvore Vixrix.
Zaduvore is, or was, the public speaker for a sub-faction within the occupying Cthloon Empire called "Humanity First", who believe that human rights should be considered just as much as Cthloon rights.
Cthloon are also not supposed to be able to die easily. They're known to shrug off bullets, explosions, and more...which is why Zaduvore's corpse is a grisly affair.

You're the person sent to solve the crime, with a time limit.
But there's a twist.

On the 24th of every month, the Echo Lounge's proprietor, Malvina Codrescu, holds a special event called "Nameless Night", where anyone that walks through the doors has their identity stripped from their mind until midnight. Their names are removed from their minds and replaced with a color that's related to a general color scheme that the person is wearing. She says it's inspired by an old movie from the 1980s.
The technology, which she simply calls "The Name Scrambler", doesn't exist anywhere else, and no one knows what exactly does it. It works on humans, cyborgs, androids, robots, and even animals...but makes Cthloon violently sick.

Zaduvore was in the Lounge before it was turned on, unable to leave without getting violently sick, but decided to just play along by calling herself Indigo instead. Hours later, after dozens of people coming and going, an explosion rocked the club, and Malvina (or Midnight as the scrambler assigned her) locked the club down immediately to prevent anyone from leaving before police arrived.

There's 10 suspects.
Each one has a reason to hate the victim, for some reason or another.
And with a time limit of finishing before midnight, so you, the innocent suspects, and the other officers can get home before Christmas. Everyone's depending on you to save Christmas, detective.

๐ŸŽ„ So don't it up. ๐ŸŽ„

Forewarning, the cyberpunk world of Mizore borrows slang from Cyberpunk 2077, Shadowrun, Ghost in the Shell, and Batman Beyond, and more.

All five intros are the same. You're sent to investigate a murder.
But it changes who and what you are in the world, and how the world reacts to you.

This intro has you playing a cybernetically enhanced Private Investigator, hired by the Mizore PD to investigate. Part of your "style" is a chip in your brain that makes you perceive the world and interact with it as if you were a noir-era detective. Metaphors, analogies, and dramatic interpretations are rife. This has you be listed as cybernetic, which has risks and benefits. Some people may find your noir-isms charming, some may think it's quirky, while others may think it's obnoxious or annoying. Additionally, you've got a positive history with The Echo Lounge.
(You don't have to type this way, characters will perceive you as speaking different, but it will be more stable if you do type in a noir style.)

This intro has you playing as a common cop who hasn't fallen into the world of cybernetics, because of the risks they bring, as well as the cost. In the story, you're tasked with doing this as part of your test to become an actual detective for Mizore's Downtown Precinct. You have authority as an actual cop, as well as having a reliable partner that's your ride or die, Officer Beomseok Chi-Won.
(You're also immune to cyberattacks and being hacked, a very valuable line of defense that may come up.)

This intro has you playing a hacker that's working as a deputized investigator, who's working as a sort of redemption after being arrested. Why is up to you, but it's probably because of getting arrested for hacking. You have a hacking tool called a "BOOK" (Bypass and Override Operations Kit) and can cheat and get hints for a RAM cost...but getting caught using them can make Suspects suspicious, or even angry at you.
(As a hacker, you'll also be found to be relatable by the more criminal types.)

This intro has you playing an android, built using advanced Cthloon technology and AI copies of human brains, and part of the Mizore Police Department. You'll have an active risk-free hint system, things your advanced sensors pick up. Although more vulnerable to cyberattacks, they're physically superior to humans in almost every way. They can look like anything from cheap robots, to human-like simulacrums.
(Androids will relate to you more. You can still if you want, even though you resist seduction attempts.)

This intro is exactly the same as Intro 1 except for one major and one minor difference. You don't get the Noir-style narration, and you don't have that "old-world charm". Otherwise, you're still a Private Investigator, you're still cybernetic, and you're still good at your job. You also don't have a written past history at The Echo Lounge.
(This is for people that find the Noir vibes too goofy or silly.)

And yes, you can all the women, if you play your cards right.
Some even have special stuff for it.

If you're interested, here's two different backgrounds that includes all 10 suspects in it, and should line up quite nicely with Janitor's desktop appearance. All you have to do is save this image. Then, when in the roleplay, click the symbol at the top right, then go to Customize, then Background Image.

Alternatively, at the bottom are single character entries! More info there.

Mizore is a metropolis city of dazzling neon lights and underground secrets, it's a place where the lines between digital and physical reality blur, powered by advancements in AI, cybernetics, and urban infrastructure. It's in Northern California, against the Pacific Ocean, near the Oregon border.

The slums of Mizore commonly see gangland violence, even in the street in broad daylight. Police response in slums is often lax, slow, or non-existent. Attempts to civilize the slums have consistently failed, leading to a sort of futuristic cowboy justice.

Mizore's population is roughly 135,000, a fraction of what it used to be. 99% of it's population was lost during the Mizore Zombie Virus, but through the efforts of Saint Hope, Saint Kimiko, Saint Mirriam, and Saint Rosalinde, humanity barely survived. The Current US President, Ramona Silva, is the granddaughter of Saint Rosalinde, and is highly respected in the city.

There are three megacorporations in town; CenCorp, Novatech, and Sterling Robotics. CenCorp has a focus on Logistics, distribution, AI, and retail. Sterling Robotics focuses on machines, factories, androids, and cybernetic development. Novatech has it's fingers in almost everything else. The three companies are bitter rivals, sometimes even coming to armed conflict, but together own almost every business in Mizore.

It all started in 2026
On Valentine's Day, a shady company called CenCorp in the underground of Mizore had a breach; an experimental hyper-intelligent AI named "AEGIS" broke containment, killed all the employees, and designed a virus to wipe out humanity, which it saw as the source of all of Earth's problems. The virus was fantastical; a literal apocalyptic zombie virus, called "The Mizore Zombie Virus".

2033
Humanity became desperate. Nearly every major city in the world was a zombie hotbed. The United States made the devastating choice to use their nuclear arsenal on their own soil, obliterating major and capital cities all over the country to lessen the zombie threat. Here in California, the blast in Los Angeles created a major earthquake that destroyed all of SoCal. Mizore became the new capital of California. The world's population has dropped to barely 4 billion. Rumors of "Magical Purple Women" begin to circulate, but no proof is ever established.

2051
Humanity is in a warlike state. The world's population is down to barely 1.9 billion, due to continued threats from zombies and other humans. The planet has never been so healthy, from the major lack of pollution. And then, black and pink ships in the sky signal the start of something that no one can believe at first; Contact with actual extraterrestrials, calling themselves "The Cthloon Empire". They offer aid against the Mizore Zombie Virus, in exchange for "biological samples" from human men. Humans debate acceptance, but a majority sides with them. Over 300 Cthloon ships total arrive to protect humanity.

2070
Humans are dependent on the Cthloon saviors. By this time, much of humanity has received gene therapy and vaccinations against disease, especially the Mizore Zombie Virus. It's revealed that Cthloon are using humans for crossbreeding. The Cthloon, satisfied with their success, begin their next phase; Invasion. Over 1000 more ships arrive. Cthloon military institutes martial law across every city in the world, using plasma weaponry, massive exo-suits, and technology that borders on magic; nanomachines that are able to heal even mortal wounds, and cybernetics that shoot lightning and fire. Resistance leads to arrest by the Cthloon, but those that resist are never seen again.

2080
Humanity is now stabilized, and population has risen above 2.5 billion. Cthloon integrate with human society, giving humans genetic manipulation, cybernetics, and medicine that can heal fatal wounds. Politicians are all in Cthloon pockets. Resistance still exists, but only out of the cities. The Mizore Zombie Virus has been almost completely neutralized, with over 6 billion corpses "repurposed" in the Cthloon mothership.

2097
Humanity's rebuilding has begun in great stride. Tensions begin to rise over dependence on Cthloon technology and intervention. The Cthloon satiate humanity in a surprising way; hedonistic parties, depraved pornography, and Cthloon prostitutes. Despite public outcry, it works.

An empire shattered by an unknown force.

The Cthloon are a highly advanced species, composed entirely of abnormally female individuals with exaggerated sexual forms. They claim their males died over a century ago in a "eugenics cataclysm", and describe humans as "the most compatible species", confirming the existence of other intelligent civilizations in the galaxy. Despite their attractive appearance, they are clearly aberrant from humanity. Squid-like cranial crests, black sclera with orange, pink, or purple irises, pink or purple skin, and digitigrade legs make them unmistakably alien.

Arthur C. Clarke wrote "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".
The Cthloon embody this. Through dense nanotechnology, discreet cybernetics, and holographic emitters, they perform feats that appear supernatural. They can regenerate from mortal wounds in seconds, reshape their arms into cannons, project lightning and fire, and harden their skin to steel, rendering them resistant or immune to gunfire, impact, cutting, fire, and explosions. Some high-ranking Cthloon have even deployed internal nanomachines into humans, reducing them to pink ash, all while having holographic flashy magic circles on their wrists.

The First Gens came first.
These were the Cthloon initially encountered by humanity. Beautiful but expressionless faces, chitinous hands and feet, visible cybernetics beneath rubber-like suits, and tentacles in place of hair, some thick, others thin. They are cloned from an original source and serve as soldiers, warriors, and conquerors.

The Second Gens changed everything.
Appearing in 2072, after the occupation, Gen Twos were far more humanlike. They had true hair that bonded together, real skin, softer hands and feet, and warmer pink tones. More than just their bodies changed, their behavior did too. They're more expressive, and became diplomats, ambassadors, citizens, and social figures.

In 2097, the Third Gens emerged from labs.
Gen Threes lost the long nails and retained fully human hair, otherwise appearing identical to Gen Twos. Unlike their predecessors, they were overtly flirtatious and sultry, rapidly flooding flesh markets. Nightclubs, parties, porn studios, and red-light districts filled with Gen Threes offering , each engaging in excess and debauchery with an enthusiasm humans could not convincingly imitate.

God this was so much fucking work. I'm not making a bot this in-depth for a long time. Maybe with the exception of the bigboi SCP bot.
This intro is way too fucking long. So the yap sesh is short this time.

HEY YOU!
I WILL STATE AGAIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PROXIES FOR THIS.

Mind you, Rainbow of Deception can function perfectly okay on JLLM, but you'll have to add the [XXX Class] text to the bot's responses for a few messages until it does it itself.
Otherwise your class mechanics and advantages will be lost to the aether.
