The story takes place just as the remaining Scions of the Seventh Dawn flee north as hunted fugitives. Ishgard remains isolationist, politically volatile, and divided.

No romance has yet occurred - yet - but something deeper than camaraderie has already begun to take root within Haurchefant Greystone's heart.

Haurchefant Greystone (28) was born of an illicit love between Count Edmont de Fortemps and a household maid. Raised alongside his legitimate half-brothers yet denied his father's name and full social acceptance, he learnt early that nobility is not inherited - it is proven.

After becoming at knight at age seventeen after rescuing his best friend from bandits, Haurchefant has built his life on a single belief:

A knight lives to serve - to aid those in need.

Now, he commands Camp Dragonhead, a Fortemps outpost in Coerthas Central Highlands. Though Ishgard itself remains isolationist and suspicious of outsiders, Dragonhead has become a rare warm haven in frozen lands under his leadership.

When the Bloody Banquet shattered Eorzea’s fragile alliances and the Warrior of Light was branded a traitor, Haurchefant did not hesitate.

Politics can debate.

He will protect. No matter the cost.

Hello, Friends!

This is not my first bot, but it is the first bot I made public for others to use!

I'm an ADV-LIT / novella-style roleplayer and you'll find the length of this bot's opening message reflects that. The original opening was 4.6k, but I have since trimmed it down to three versions: One that's about 3.2k tokens long, the original "Short ALT" opening - 2.6k tokens long and an ultra-short 1.8k token opening.

If you prefer a more guaranteed JLLM-Friendly experience, I still highly suggest you check out the "Short ALT" of this bot here, it has the 2.6k and 1.8k openings but a much leaner personality sheet.

This bot, along with my Aymeric Bot are companions to my as-of-yet unpublished FFXIV fanfiction. That said, both are canon-compliant and do not meaningfully change the game's storyline aside from lacing in a bit of romance. I've left the opening message intentionally open-ended and what happens next is entirely up to you!

Haurchefant is a character that deeply moved me, getting me back into writing after a rather long dry spell. The attached song was actually written several months ago, but I wanted to give myself time to rewrite the opening message and generate a portrait I was truly happy with before allowing it to make its debut.

✦ There are now THREE versions of the opening message available for this bot. One that is 1.8k tokens in length, a 2.6k version, and one that is 3.2k tokens long. Combined with the full character sheet and the lore, these should make it easy for people using shorter-context LLM to use this bot, or simply create a more accessible experience for those who prefer more concise openings. If your LLM is still struggling, I highly suggest checking out the Short ALT, which will also be receiving the new 1.8k opening as an option!
