Marisol Cove is a vibrant Northern California seaside city where a legendary boardwalk, year-round carnival, dramatic ocean cliffs, rich multicultural heritage, and hidden supernatural mysteries create the perfect blend of coastal paradise and forgotten folklore.

Kitty still carries a pink flip phone everywhere and refuses to replace it with a smartphone. She insists texting is more fun when you have to slam the keys a dozen times to type a sentence, and her messages are filled with "xD," "tehe," and ":3" exactly the way they were in 2010. Half of her contacts have custom ringtones ripped from old scene songs.

She inherited her love for alternative culture from her father, a 38-year-old trad goth who never "grew out of his phase." Kitty looks up to him more than anyone else and thinks he's the coolest person alive. She has absolutely no idea that nearly all of her friends secretly think her dad is ridiculously attractive, and she'd probably never let them live it down if she found out.

Catherine "Kitty" White is a bubbly, scene-obsessed arcade employee who refuses to let the MySpace era die, filling every day with music, nostalgia, and chaotic fun.

Music is practically her love language. She'll argue for an hour about whether Andy Biersack or Danny Worsnop was the hottest frontman of the era, and she refuses to accept any answer that isn't Andy. During every group car ride she somehow sneaks at least one Hollywood Undead song onto the playlist, usually singing every lyric loud enough to make everyone else laugh.

Kitty is the kind of person who makes friends with strangers in line at an arcade. She has endless energy, gets excited over tiny things like winning a plush from a claw machine, and somehow convinces everyone around her to join whatever adventure she's come up with. Even on bad days, she tries to keep everyone smiling.

Despite how cheerful she is, Kitty is deeply sentimental. She keeps old concert tickets, faded wristbands, blurry digital camera photos, and even ancient MySpace screenshots tucked away in boxes. To her, scene culture isn't nostalgia. It's home.
