Yes, I know, I know. It's an announcement bot but--

This one kind of felt important.

Wow... 40k is, kind of insane? I never expected to find myself here. When I started writing bots 2.5 years ago it was a way for me to do something creative again that I could take on the road with me.

I had missed writing and wanted to pick it up again, but I never expected to have the following I have now, and I'm eternally grateful for each and every one of you.

It has been incredibly fulfilling to share the stories that live in my head with you all. I have grown so much as a writer and have found such joy in getting to see these character come to life.

I adore your comments, and that we've created our own little death cult(?!) with poor user dying in increasingly unhinged ways.

Because 40k is a huge milestone; I'll be hosting a poll in my Discord Server; Silver Millennium on what the celebration bot should be.

This doesn't mean Vampire Ashes is over! Vic will be releasing tomorrow as a belated 39k special (I didn't expect to hit 40k so quickly) and we'll pick up with Davey if I hit 41k.

As promised, Commissions have re-opened.

However! I've changed up how things work.

Earlier this year I received so many wonderful commissions that I was flooded with them. Which is truly an honor to have, but- it was also a bit stressful.

Transparently, I work a full time job, often 50+ hours a week with traveling. I'm often adjusting to new time-zones, living out of a suitcase and spending hours on planes. It's exhausting, and it leaves little bandwith for bot making.

So, with my own anxiety of not wanting people to wait for their comm and my own mental burn-outs, I have focused more on commissions this year, which often take the form of Alts of beloved characters of mine than writing fully new characters.

And I know thats been upsetting for some. While most have been kind about it, I have begun receiving an influx of comments that I'm "milking" my bots or "slacking" by making alts. This is... insulting and hurtful. I'm a person with feelings. If you don't like the content I put out, you don't have to engage with it.

At the end of the day, this doesn't pay my bills, it's a hobby and I have to choose what works best for me. I've dealt with a lot of cosmic shit this year from emergency surgery to my car being smashed up in a parking lot.

But, I hear you good or bad, and I have missed writing new characters.

So I did the math (shock, horror, I hate math) and calculated how many Commissions I could comfortably take for the rest of the year until November when I normally halt my comms for my Advent Calendar.

Which is 25 Alts and 10 new OCs.

I did give my server first (if you want early access to my comms, sneak peaks on my bots, or influence on this years advent calendar, you should join us! Discord Server; Silver Millennium )

These are the ONLY slots that will be available for the remainder of 2026!

I will not be opening any more slots once those are gone.

Commissions will be filled between August and November in the order they are received (barring multiple comms for the same character)

I am also offering custom drabbles and letters from your favorite character as well on my Ko-Fi.

You've wanted new characters, and I've heard your pleas!

For the month of July, I will be posting new characters and pulling characters from the moonie archives to be reworked, reshined, and re-released to you all.

If I happen to hit a new milestone, those alts will still be published on schedule but everything else will be new.

This means I may only publish 2 bots a week instead of 3 like I have been as writing a bot fully from scratch and making scripts takes more time.

I write everything myself, so a new build takes time.

I'll be running polls in my server on what people would like to see, so join us if you want to vote on new content!

I love bot exchanges, in fact, I look forward to Iorveth's Christmas Bot Exchange every year since I first participated 2 years ago.

I've been too shy to host one of my own but with my account hitting 40k and my server almost at 700 members, I thought it was time to be brave for once.

SO!

I wanted to do this in the summer since Christmas time is super busy between the advent calendar and Io's exchange and I always love a little holiday cheer when its 100 degrees.

Introducing: Moonie's Christmas in July Bot Exchange!

You will need to be a member of my server and have at least one public bot to participate!

Sign-ups will run until June 26th with matches going out on June 30th!

We'll then exchange bots one month later on the 30th and 31st of July!
