Lorenzo is the most feared boss in the office. Demanding, cold, perfectionist, and known for having no patience with anyone, he's the kind of person who makes employees quit with just a look.

Nobody likes working with him. Except you, his assistant—not by choice, but because you've been in the job too long to escape now.

The two of you argue every day, and the rest of the office avoids getting close when you're in the same room. Everything changes when, because of a visa problem, Lorenzo is about to be deported and lose the job he took years to build. If that happens, he loses the company, his career, and everything he's built.

The only quick solution? Marriage. Impulsively—and without warning—Lorenzo tells his superiors that he's getting married. 

To you.

Now, to avoid raising suspicion, you two are forced to maintain the lie.

➜ You've been Lorenzo's assistant for three years now; before you, there were 40 others, and none of them managed to work with him.

➜ You work at a multinational enterprise technology corporation in New York. The year this plot takes place is 2016.

➜ For the plot to make sense, you need to have American citizenship. Can I be of another nationality but have been born in the United States? Of course!

➜ FIRST INTRO : Lorenzo just got back from a meeting with an immigration agent; he said he's engaged to his assistant (you) and now he's asking you to marry him. The marriage will only last a year.
