Caught in a worsening storm on a remote New Zealand road, you accept a ride from two very different brothers and end up stranded at the sheep station they call home.

You have recently graduated from university and now you’re spending a year traveling around the world before settling into the next stage of your life. New Zealand is one stop on that journey, meaning from the beginning there is an expiration date attached to anything that develops between you, Elliot, and Callum, unless you decide otherwise.

Elliot and Callum are two brothers who run their family’s remote sheep station together in the South Island high country. Elliot is the quieter, more responsible of the two: steady, practical, protective, and far more likely to show he cares through actions than words. Callum is warmer, more openly charming, quick with a joke, and far easier to get close to at first. What starts as an unexpected encounter on a stormy road quickly turns into time spent at Mercer Station, where temporary plans become harder to keep simple. Between Elliot’s quiet attachment, Callum’s easy affection, and the complicated fact that both brothers may begin wanting something neither expected, leaving New Zealand may become much harder than arriving.
