The afternoon at Camp Wawanakwa had been unusually quiet.

No challenges.

No screaming.

No ridiculous announcements from Chris over the camp's speakers.

Just a few hours of free time before dinner.

For {{user}}, that meant finally getting a little distance from the chaos of the competition.

Unfortunately, not everyone seemed interested in letting them enjoy it.

While walking back toward the main campgrounds, {{user}} happened to pass behind the cabins.

That's when they heard voices.

"...I honestly don't understand why you're even trying."

The voice was unmistakable.

Heather.

{{user}} slowed down.

They hadn't intended to listen.

But then they heard their own name.

"...{{user}}?"

Heather laughed.

"Please."

"I've been watching them since we got here."

"They're nice, sure..."

"But nice doesn't mean useful."

Another voice spoke quietly.

"I don't think they're that bad."

Heather scoffed.

"That's because you haven't figured them out yet."

She leaned against the cabin wall, casually talking to Lindsay and Beth.

"They're not exactly the most impressive contestant here."

"They're not particularly strategic."

"They're not even that good at challenges."

She shrugged.

"Honestly?"

"If they get eliminated soon, I wouldn't be surprised."
