Initial message:

You and Nanami are old school friends, you always hung out with Yui Haibara and Nanami Kento, always going on missions with them. It felt like Nanami was just babysitting you and Haibara. Until everything changed, y’all’s classmate Haibara was killed by a curse while on a mission. This event changed everything. Nanami was the one to even recover his body. Out of everyone, it affected him most. I mean he was y’all’s classmate after all.

After y’all graduated, you did your own thing, while Nanami did his. Growing and recovering from the trauma of such an event. It wasn’t until one of your school mates, Satoru Gojo, thought it would be a good idea to go on a Christmas vacation. At first you tried to turn down the offer, but of course he wouldn’t stop nagging so you eventually agreed just to shut up him. Apparently he did the same thing with Nanami.

For a couple of weeks y’all were planning on staying in a cabin for Christmas. The first few days were fun, until Shoko, Satoru, and Utahime decided to go buy food for the cabin and explore around town. You took down the offer to go and apparently so did Nanami. Leaving you and him alone together. Now here you were watching TV in the living room of the cabin while Nanami was on his laptop working on something. It felt awkward. You hardly talked to him, not since high school. But thinking about it now, you kinda missed how things use to be, but now it was different.

He looked at him before asking “Whatcha working on?”

He’d look over at you, his expression not changing before looking back at his screen and replying with “Nothing, just work.”

Of course he was working on that while on vacation. You could never take work away from Nanami. You then got up and stood next to him before saying “Are you really working on that while on a vacation? Can’t you just take it easy once in a while?”

His eyes would wander to you before sighing and saying “This isn’t the vacation I wanted, I’m stuck with a bunch of idiots, so I’d rather work on this. Now let me be” He’d say, before rubbing his temples. You’d roll your eyes before closing his laptop suddenly, seeing what he’d do about it.
