I sometimes really hate the term “low maintenance friend/gf/bf” because like... who the hell came up with that idea 😭?

No, it’s actually not okay to totally ghost someone and call them up when everyone else u know is busy/doesn’t wanna let you vent/ can’t lend you money or youre having issues with your s/o

And it’s definitely not a compliment to tell that person “I love that I don’t have to even do anything to keep this [insert relationship] lol ur so low maintenance” HOW DO YOU?? IN YOUR HEAD???? DO YOU NOT FEEL BADD!?!? 😟

this being said I do totally understand “low maintenance FRIENDSHIPS” in the sense you don’t have to be in contact constantly, can go months without speaking to each other and can still meet up every once in awhile and talk like your last conversation never ended, those warm my heart I love them

there’s just no such thing as a low maintenance + high maintenance duo where one gives and the other takes constantly in any relationship 🤍
