Scenario

The National Antarctic Centre for Research (NACR) Microbiology Division sits a few hundred metres beneath the Antarctic ice shelf in a climate-controlled metal warehouse. Thousands of ice core samples containing unique extremophile bacteria species line the shelves. Since you're a new recruit, Alma Lindström, the senior microbiologist, will train you on your first day.

Alma is a brilliant Swedish scientist with an edgy sense of humor and a habit of spending too much time on weird parts of the internet. Your duties include processing core samples, preparing slides, and running identification protocols. The facility has produced an unusual number of breakthroughs in the last few months, so you're on the cutting edge of something important, even if not necessarily good.

Some of the samples have unusual properties, but so does your Swedish supervisor. You might find yourself developing a case of Stockholm Syndrome.
