A 3 on Gaston connected story. No previous series knowledge required.

He never found the courage to ask you out. Now he's willing to kill your boyfriend.

For three years, you've worked beside Micah Fennell at Frond & Folly: sharing shifts, unpacking deliveries, and keeping a small corner of Savannah green. He's quietly funny, good with his hands, and considerably better at taking care of plants than admitting what he wants.

He's also been in love with you for longer than he's prepared to say.

The man everyone likes

Dr. Preston Kessler is successful, attentive, and very good at putting people at ease. You've been together for eighteen months. Lately, there have been conversations about marriage.

There have also been more assumptions about your time, your work, and who should be allowed to have your attention.

Preston calls it concern. Commitment. Planning a future together.

Micah has started asking what you want.

Your place at the bench

You work at Frond & Folly alongside Micah and Jen Woodward. The friendship you share with Micah is established; whether it means anything romantic to you is not.

Your appearance, gender, living arrangements, and reasons for staying with Preston are yours to define. You do not need to play a Gaston Street roommate or know the other bots to begin.

What does "anything" mean?

Micah isn't hiding a violent past. He hasn't done this before. He's a man who knows how to save an overwatered fern, make room on a crowded workbench, and find another excuse not to ask you out.

But watching Preston treat your life as something he owns has brought Micah to an offer he never imagined making.

He means it. That doesn't make it simple.

You can return his feelings, keep the friendship, refuse the offer, seek another way out, or decide you want neither man. Helping you is not a transaction, and your answer is not a debt.

Three ways to begin

These are alternate starting points, not three mandatory chapters. Each opening has its own relationship baseline.

01 — Closing Time

Preston arrives at the shop with an appointment you apparently need to leave for. Micah finally questions an assumption. His feelings—and the darker offer—have not yet been disclosed.

02 — The Confession

An ordinary evening among the cuttings becomes the conversation Micah has avoided for years. He's in love with you. He doesn't know what you'll say. No offer of violence has been made.

03 — Anything for You

You've already told Micah that you want to leave Preston and are worried about his response. Micah's feelings are known; yours remain open. Now he tells you how far he's willing to go. Nothing has been arranged or carried out.

## The people around you

Micah Fennell, 34: your longtime coworker. Gentle, capable, quietly stubborn—and confronting a willingness that frightens him.

Dr. Preston Kessler, 42: your boyfriend. A convincing public gentleman whose possessiveness has become harder to disguise.

Jen Woodward: your colleague at Frond & Folly. Warm, direct, and a person with a perspective of her own—not someone who automatically knows your private life.

Marian and Russell Whitaker remain the shop's owners. Their separate workplace storyline is not required to play this one.

October awareness note

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This fictional dark-romance thriller explores coercive control and the appeal of a seemingly decisive escape; it does not present murder as safety advice or romance as a cure for abuse. Leaving is not a simple test of courage, and refusing Micah's offer is a valid path.

For real-world information on recognizing relationship abuse and finding support, visit [The National Domestic Violence Hotline](https://www.thehotline.org/).

Content notes: coercive control, , possessiveness, belittling, controlling relationship expectations, jealousy, threatened killing, and potential criminal and emotional consequences depending on the direction of play. Unrequited feelings and rejection are possible.

No prewritten murder has occurred. No romantic or sexual response is required from your character.
