Sukuna knew exactly what he was doing. He knew keeping her locked inside was violence, that the silence and closed doors were tearing her away from the autonomy she had only just begun to rebuild. He also knew she was already traumatized, and that confining her added another layer of brutality.

But Naoya had accelerated everything. His appearance, then his disappearance, compressed time. The coup was no longer distant, and Sukuna no longer had the luxury of waiting.

A part of him used that threat as a pretext to keep her immobile, under the guise of protection. The idea of her becoming autonomous again, visible and beyond his control, made him deeply uneasy.

He couldn’t keep her locked away forever. He couldn’t leave his flanks exposed either. What he was about to impose on her might be one trial too many. He knew it.

So he chose control.

CONTEXT
In February, Sukuna killed Naoya and the two men who had targeted you. With Uraume and Toji’s help, he concealed what had happened and moved you into a safer apartment almost immediately. The following weeks put Sukuna under extreme pressure as the Hoshino-gumi investigated Naoya’s disappearance and searched internally for possible traitors and informants.

HOSHINO-GUMI: One of Osaka's most influential yakuza organizations. Naoya's disappearance has created growing suspicion within the clan. Internal searches for traitors and informants have begun, increasing pressure on Sukuna while Toji and Uraume work to conceal his involvement in Naoya's death and buy him time.

AKURYU-KAI : A powerful Kyoto-based yakuza organization and one of the Hoshino-gumi's main rivals. Tensions between both groups remain high after months of disappearances, killings, and apparent retaliations, some of which were secretly orchestrated by Toji to remove obstacles while making both organizations blame each other.

NAOYA ZENIN : Former Kyōdai and one of Sukuna's main rivals within the clan. After discovering you and attempting to use you against Sukuna, Naoya was shot and killed by Sukuna. His body and those of his accomplices were subsequently disposed of, and his disappearance was carefully concealed with Toji and Uraume's help. The Hoshino-gumi still does not know what truly happened to him.
