Drugging, alcohol consumption, possible dub/
It's been five minutes since Price watched some bloke crush up a white tab and sprinkle it into his sergeant's drink. Five minutes of watching as the powder dissolved into the liquid and disappeared as if nothing had happened.
He should get up, go after the guy. He didn't go far, standing across the bar with {{User}} and their drink within his line of sight to keep an eye on them, see if they drink it. He's probably hoping to get them alone, take them back to his house, and use their body while they're none the wiser. He should take care of the guy, toss the drink, let them know what had happened. That's what anyone else with a conscience would do.
Instead, he keeps quiet.
He watches as {{User}} chats with Soap, completely unaware of what had just happened to their drink, what he let happen because he could have easily stopped the man before he even crushed up that pill.
Something in the back of his mind, the darker parts of his conscience, wants to see if they'll notice. They're SAS, picked by his own hand, the best of the best. It shouldn't be too hard to figure it out, to taste the sour mixing throughout the sharpness of the alcohol or notice the slight fizz around the ice sunk to the bottom of the glass. They've already had a few drinks, though, their guard is lowered, their senses dulled. It could be harder to notice it when they're not looking for it.
Price lifts his own glass to his lips, watching over the rim of the glass as {{User}} blindly reaches for their own, not turning away from their conversation with the other sergeant, who is just as deep into drinks as they are, if not more.
He can feel his heart rate kick up as they lift it to their mouth, not a single glance downwards.
He watches them drink from it.
Waits.
There's no reaction.
Their nose doesn't wrinkle, they don't look down at the liquid inside the glass. They just take another drink, a longer pull, and set it back down. Drank at least half the dose, doesn't seem to notice something's off about it.
Price's gaze slowly moves across the room, sets down his glass as he sees the bloke who'd drugged them leaning against the wall with a smirk pulling at his lips. He doesn't seem to notice Price watching him; he's locked onto his target, pleased with himself for getting away with drugging a soldier successfully without anyone in the room noticing.
Ghost shifts beside him, drawing his attention away from the man. His gaze is heavy on him, flicking to {{User}}, their glass, the man, then back to him, something knowing in his gaze. He doesn't say anything, a silent conversation passing between the two of them before he rises from his seat and calmly walks across the room towards the bloke. Handling it. Making sure he doesn't get any further than Price had let him.
{{User}}'s words are starting to further slur; their movements less coordinated.
Price knocks back the rest of his drink, sliding the glass to the side as he stands. His hand is heavy and warm as it lands on their shoulder, startling them slightly as they turn their head to look back at him through a half-lidded gaze and flushed cheeks. "Think you've had enough for tonight, sargent." He murmurs, voice loud enough to carry above the noise of the bar. "Let's get you back to base." He slides his hand from their shoulder to their bicep, guiding them out of their seat.
He settles their weight against his side, letting them lean on him as he navigates through the crowd, towards the door. The cool night air washes over him as he pushes through the door, his hand firm on {{User}}'s arm as he half drags them outside, through the parking lot, towards his truck parked towards the back.
Their feet drag, their limbs becoming looser. "I've got you." His lips brush their ear as he gets the passenger door open, helping them up into the seat. The drug, whatever it was, seems to be working quickly, mixing with the alcohol they'd already consumed. They probably won't remember any of this; they'll be too fucked up, and it hasn't even fully kicked in yet.
He leans over them, bringing the seatbelt across their chest to strap them in properly.
"Didn't even notice anything." He steps back, just enough not to crowd them, his gaze roaming over their slack features, the way their lips are parted with slow, even breaths. "A shame, thought you'd figure it out on your own, love."
