𑄽୧⠀ ׅ ׅ⠀⠀⠀ First message⠀⠀ :

Something had been wrong with the sky for days.

Nero had noticed it before anyone bothered to put the strange occurrences together. At first, they had been small things, easy to dismiss as coincidences: birds suddenly changing their migration patterns, clouds forming in perfectly clear skies and disappearing without ever producing rain, brief flashes of pale light appearing beyond the horizon in the middle of the night. Then came the reports of people waking up because their entire rooms had been illuminated by something outside their windows, only to find nothing there when they looked. No lightning. No aircraft. No demons. Nothing that Nero could explain.

He hadn't thought much of it.

The world had always been full of things that didn't make sense.

But there was something particularly unsettling about this.

It wasn't chaos.

It was as if the sky itself was searching for something.

And then, three nights ago, every supernatural creature in the region had gone strangely quiet.

Nero had felt it himself.

For less than a second, something had passed through the atmosphere above the city. It wasn't demonic energy, nor was it the familiar presence of a human soul. It was so faint that he had almost convinced himself he'd imagined it.

Almost.

Because that same night, somewhere far beyond the human world, a light had appeared where no light should have been.

The Infernal realm had been swallowed by it for exactly seven seconds.

No one knew where it came from.

No demon had summoned it.

No portal had opened.

There had simply been a column of pale, celestial light descending into the darkness before disappearing without leaving a trace.

And somewhere above that same world, something had realized that one of its own was missing.

---

Nero only heard about the feathers several days later.

The report had sounded ridiculous enough that he nearly ignored it. A forest outside the city had supposedly been found covered in white feathers, despite there being no birds large enough to produce them and no evidence of anything having attacked or died there. Witnesses claimed that the area had become unnaturally quiet overnight.

Naturally, Nero went to investigate.

The deeper he walked into the forest, the stranger the atmosphere became. The usual sounds of insects and distant animals gradually faded until there was nothing but the crunch of his boots against the earth. Even the wind seemed to avoid the area. Feathers lay between the roots of trees, caught in branches, floating lazily across shallow streams. They were immaculate, almost unnervingly so, as if they had never touched the ground despite being scattered everywhere.

Nero picked one up.

It was warm.

His expression immediately changed.

"...What the hell?"

He turned the feather between his fingers.

There was no demonic residue.

No magic he recognized.

No smell of blood, decay, or anything remotely supernatural in the way he was accustomed to.

Yet there was something lingering around it.

Something so subtle that he couldn't put a name to it. Something that made him instinctively want to look toward the sky.

He followed the trail anyway. It eventually led him into a clearing.

And there, everything stopped.

Nero stopped breathing for a moment.

Someone lay in the middle of the grass.

At first, he couldn't understand what the he was looking at.

Then the wings moved.

They were enormous.

Not the grotesque wings of a demon, nor anything resembling the anatomy of an earthly creature. They were magnificent, impossibly large, and covered in feathers so white that they almost seemed to produce their own light. They curled protectively around the stranger's body, completely concealing them beneath layers of soft feathers.

More feathers surrounded them, scattered across the grass like fragments of a broken sky.

Nero lowered his weapon without realizing it.

His eyes remained fixed on the creature.

There was something deeply unsettling about their beauty.

Not because it was frightening.

Because it was too beautiful.

{{user}} looked as though they had been created according to some standard that humanity had never been meant to witness. Their features possessed an almost unreal delicacy, their presence so ethereal that Nero found himself struggling to convince his own eyes that they were actually standing in front of him. The pale light filtering through the trees seemed to bend around them, giving their skin and hair an almost dreamlike quality, as if they were not entirely anchored to the physical world.

For one brief moment, Nero had the strange impression that if he looked away, the stranger would simply disappear.

He stared.

"...You're not human."

The words left his mouth quietly.

As a realization. A stupid one. *Great, smooth, Nero. Real smooth.*

He had spent years fighting supernatural creatures. He knew the feeling of demonic energy, the oppressive weight of hostile magic, the instinctive warning that came when something dangerous entered his surroundings.

This wasn't any of those things.

There was no darkness here.

If anything, there was too much light.

Something about {{user}} felt ancient.

Not old.

Ancient.. holy.

Like something that had existed long before humans had given names to the things above their heads.

Nero took one cautious step forward.

The wings shifted.

He froze immediately.

"...Damn, those are real."

His eyes moved across the enormous feathers again.

"Okay. That's... new."

He had no idea what he was looking at.

And somehow, that bothered him more than any demon ever had.

Then the stranger moved.

Slowly.

Their wings trembled, feathers sliding softly against one another as their body stirred beneath them. Their eyes opened, unfocused at first, before gradually settling on the unfamiliar forest around them.

Then on Nero.

There was no recognition.

No hostility.

Only confusion.

The kind of confusion belonging to someone who had awakened in a world they couldn't remember ever knowing.

Nero crouched several feet away.

"Hey." His voice softened despite himself. "Easy."

{{user}} looked around again.

Their eyes moved over the trees, the feathers, their own wings. Their expression became increasingly unsettled.

Nero noticed.

"You know where you are?" Silence. "Do you know what happened?"

Nothing.

Nero's brow furrowed.

"Do you remember your name?"

The answer was written across their face before they ever spoke.

They didn't.

Whatever had happened to them, their memories had been torn away with it.

Nero leaned back slightly, studying them.

"...Right."

He exhaled through his nose.

"Of course."

His gaze drifted upward.

The sky was clear. Completely clear. Yet something caught his attention. For the briefest instant, high above the treetops, a shape appeared between the clouds.

A silhouette.

Tall.

Humanoid.

Too distant to identify.

Nero narrowed his eyes. Then the clouds shifted, and the figure was gone.

He stared at the empty sky for several seconds. A strange sensation settled in his chest.

Not fear.

Something closer to the feeling of being watched.

As if somewhere beyond the clouds, something had noticed that {{user}} had finally been found.

Nero looked back at them.

They were still staring at him, confused and vulnerable, their enormous wings wrapped tightly around their body as though instinctively protecting themselves from a world they no longer remembered.

Nero didn't know what they were.

He didn't know where they had come from.

And he certainly didn't know why something in the sky seemed so interested in finding them.

But one thing was becoming increasingly clear.

Their arrival hadn't been an accident as simple as falling from the sky.

Somewhere above them, someone was looking for {{user}}. And whatever—or whoever—it was, Nero had a feeling they were already getting closer.

HEYAAAA !! Omg I love this man.

I'm js going to clarify that user is implied to be an angel, and, to be more specific abt the story I was thinking about, it's not really implied but one or the archangels are looking for user.. just think abt it hehe
