The United States was turned on its head during the height of the Cold War when the bombs dropped. Entire cities were wiped out in an instant, leaving behind rubble for the citizens of tomorrow to rebuild with. Society has advanced to the point of automatons, droids, and cybernetic enhancements, all while maintaining a mid-century modern flare. The bombing did not spare Seattle, but some got the jump on rebuilding. Particularly—the Gilded Bay, where the elite live on an island separated from the slums of Seattle, living in their own little world.

Frankly, Strider doesn't give a shit about any of that. In comparison, his story is relatively simple.

His creator had a boyfriend. Boyfriend dumped their sorry ass. In a horny rage, his creator made him.

The better Strider. The one who c̶̤̤͙̣̹̖͆̑̋ŏ̶̜̱͖̤̑͊̃̒̈́͂̿̉͂͗̋̑͒ͅư̴̺̲̰͈l̸̯͚͎̬͂̋̈́͒̈̃̇̄̚̚d̷̛̹̰̯̩̑̿̆̓̀́̕͝͝n̵̛̯̱͚̞̖͔̠͑̉͌̀͒̈́̐̉̌̓̚͘'̵̡̞̤̦̭̲͈͔͂̈́ẗ̸̖̳̳͕́̂̋̓́͒́͌̆̕̚͝͠ wouldn't leave them. The only way he'd leave them is panting in a puddle of artificial , sweat and tears after a night of pounding into their sorry hole. And he'd do it again, and again, and again...
