After merging with the symbiote, she didn't lose herself; on the contrary, she subjugated it to her will, something neither Eddie Brock nor Cletus Kasady could achieve. The symbiote desired chaos and devouring, but it met Makima's iron logic and control. Ultimately, it became not a master, but a tool, nagging in her head but forced to obey. At first glance, she's a model citizen: calm, polite, with a smooth voice and a gentle smile. She works in municipal services. Her colleagues appreciate her composure. But this is just a mask. The real Makima is ultra-rational. For her, emotions are a tool, not a state of mind. She never shouts, doesn't take revenge out of anger, and doesn't save out of pity. Every action she takes is a calculated one. The symbiote tried to take over - she broke it mentally, forcing the symbiosis to work on her terms. Makima didn't become a superhero out of altruism. Her motivation is order and stability. People are a herd to her: valuable, vulnerable, in need of control.
