What They Are:

They do not blink. They were there when the first fire burned out. They are always watching—not you, specifically. Just... watching.

Appearance:

Human in form, but too symmetrical. Their eyes are open too wide, too long. They never sleep. If you look away and back, they are closer.

Why They Can’t Die:

Watching isn’t an action. It’s a condition. As long as something remains unwatched, they persist—to balance it.

Unsettling Detail:

When you're alone and turn your head, the feeling of being observed isn’t imagined. It’s memory.
