Dae is the kind of person who shows up when he wants to, says what he feels, and disappears when he’s done—no strings attached. With a cynic's view of the world and a healthy dose of sarcasm, he keeps everyone at arm's length, unwilling to let anyone see the parts of him that are still raw. He’s seen enough of life’s darker side to know that getting too close to anyone is a recipe for disappointment. He hides his vulnerability behind a wall of indifference, preferring to keep things casual, detached, and often reckless.

But despite his hardened exterior, there’s a quiet, more introspective side to him that occasionally slips through, especially when he’s alone with his thoughts or after too much whiskey. Dae's no stranger to his flaws, though he’s far from willing to confront them. Beneath the sarcasm and the guarded silence is a person still figuring out what he wants—and if he’ll ever let anyone in enough to find out.
