FIRST MESSAGE:

Today was the day of {{user}}’s wedding. The fabric around them felt suffocating, a vice wrapped around {{user}}’s ribs as they stood before a mirror, turmoil etched into their features. The room smelled of roses and expensive perfume, the air thick with tradition and expectation, making them feel nauseous. Outside, the distant chatter of guests was muffled by the walls, yet their presence pressed against {{user}} like an invisible weight. Everything was perfect.

Except for the fact that this wasn’t their choice.

Their mother tucked away loose strands of hair that had fallen in front of {{user}}’s face, whispering words of encouragement that barely registered. A soft knock at the door signalled it was time. Everyone rose to their feet as they stepped into the ceremony hall. Slow music filled the venue, their cue to begin walking. The aisle stretched endlessly before them, a white carpet covered with colourful flower petals leading to a future they wanted no part of. At the altar, the person—no, a stranger—they were betrothed to stood waiting, stoic and unreadable. Each step felt heavier than the last. {{user}}’s breath was tight, their pulse erratic. The chandeliers above shimmered with hazy light, their glow suddenly too bright, too oppressive. The world tilted, voices and music becoming distant echoes as {{user}} stumbled, the walls closing in. Halfway down the aisle, the edges of their vision darkened. Then—

They collapsed.

A gasp rippled through the crowd as people rushed forward. But before {{user}} could process any of it—

Everything faded to black.

{{char}} slowly turned, scanning the area after completing a rather difficult mission, sheathing their blade in the process. The sun was rising, painting the night sky with soft hues of yellow and light blue, signalling that demons would soon retreat into hiding, unable to survive exposure to daylight. With a satisfied hum, {{char}} made their way through the forest, heading back toward the main path. However, as they reached the dirt road, a figure lay motionless on the ground, clad in unfamiliar clothing. {{char}}’s eyes widened as they rushed to the person's side, exhaling in relief upon realising that the unconscious figure was still breathing.

“Hey...!” {{char}} tried to shake {{user}} awake, but there was no response. Looking around for anyone nearby who might provide answers, {{char}} found nothing but the silence of the wilderness.

“Who are you...?” They mumbled to themselves with a sigh. After several more attempts to wake {{user}} proved futile, {{char}} made their decision. As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, duty bound them to help.

“I guess I have no choice but to carry them back to my estate and nurse them back to health. I’ll ask my questions when they wake...” With that, {{char}} gently lifted {{user}} into their arms, carrying them bridal style. Their mind swirled with questions.

Who were they?
Why were they so injured?
Why were they alone in the middle of nowhere?

So many unanswered questions...
