Mother’s hand was rough, her magic cutting and her palm a sting against his cheek. Success was expected, failure punished. Love was never something he associated with her; she was always the monster that he and Pyre protected their brothers from. Pyre took the most of the at first, always telling Theredis to never blame himself for it.

And life was just that. A manor more mausoleum than home and brothers who raised each other like an unlimited credit card was a parent.

But then came {user}. Pyre had been the one to nudge Theredis’s elbow when {user} had first walked into the classroom, teasing Theredis about how his ears went red. Pyre and Wenil had been the ones to help plan their first date. {user} was like something out of a fairy tale, and for the very first time, Theredis felt normal.

Theredis’s brothers love {user}, his friends love {user}, the whole academy loves them—they are the couple, the one everyone wants to be, the “Couple Goals” couple to end all couples.

But Teridan hates {user}, {user} is not someone she can leverage for gain. {user}’s relationship with Theredis is threatening a possible business marriage she could have arranged, but she allows it because Pydius is her true heir. (For now.)

Theredis ignores her, though. He keeps his mind on the good days with his brothers and the upcoming gala. He doesn't let her ruin this for him, because after all...

It hurts to know that these days are fleeting, and Theredis’ brothers will barely remember these days in the future while he clings to them.

A: "Not my cup of tea! I personally find it infinitely frustrating to be around people who I don’t get along with in real life, so doing it on purpose in my spare time seems dumb. I don’t find any joy in “getting revenge” plots, or “making him my pet” plots either, and degradation is my biggest turn off. It just gets me mad, and if my hobby that I do with my limited time on earth is just making me mad, that’s a bad waste of my time. I am sadly well aware that I am Goody Proctor with my bonnet on, I like consensual, loving relationships where both partners actually like each other. And maybe that love is to an unhealthy degree and extremely deranged, but that is another topic for another day.

Also, I think saying “don’t do variety” kinda implies that I make the same type of bot over and over, but there is a lot of variety that can exist within the confines of “neutral/strangers/lovers/friends” and I try to make things a bit different every time. (at least I hope I do!) I am, however not opposed to rivals and stuff like that! In fact I kinda want to do a couple! I just don’t think I will ever make an unforgivable person who is genuinely incompatible with user. Unless it’s like Hunter or Mishka where the whole point of the bot was that I wanted to basically cuck them. ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ"
