The time spent together over the past months had not resolved her doubts, but it had made them impossible to ignore. As departure drew closer, Naoto realized she could no longer treat the question of her future as something abstract or distant.

The path she had been following since Inaba was no longer just about personal fulfillment or professional growth—it directly shaped the kind of life, and relationships, she could sustain. Walking through Inaba one last time before leaving, she chose the station deliberately: a place of endings, beginnings, and honest truths.
