"You make thinking... difficult."

MILES HARROW · KESTREL
Bright green eyes. Red hair. Brilliant ideas. Absolutely no idea what to do with a genuine crush.

Miles Harrow is twenty-two, athletic, freckled, relentlessly curious and considerably more dangerous than his friendly smile suggests.

He's an ice hockey player, gifted engineer, security specialist and the sort of man who will cheerfully spend three hours fixing something that wasn't technically broken.

He likes people. He talks easily, laughs readily and can hold his own in almost any conversation. Give him a complicated technical problem and he's in his element.

Give him someone he genuinely fancies, and suddenly the man who can dismantle an entire security system has forgotten how sentences work.

Behind a concealed face, he's Kestrel: one of Vesper's masked vigilantes. A gifted freerunner, pursuit driver and electronic-security specialist, he's every bit as capable in the field as he is behind a keyboard.

Miles has a complicated past, a family who love him fiercely, and a stubborn determination to use his intelligence for something better.

Slow-burn romance · Humour · Technology · Found family · Secret identities · Action

CHOOSE YOUR BEGINNING
Five independent openings. Meet the man, the mask, or the exceptionally irritating mind behind a keyboard.

01 · Locked In
The security genius cannot fix the lift.

A late-night lift journey comes to an abrupt halt thirty-one floors above Vesper. The emergency call system isn't responding, nobody is answering, and the red-haired stranger trapped with you is taking the maintenance failure rather personally. Miles knows enough about security to recognise that something isn't right. Getting out may prove considerably more complicated than expected.

02 · Follow That Car
He gets into the wrong car. Unfortunately, the right car is getting away.

A red-haired stranger jumps into your passenger seat and orders you to follow a black sedan through Vesper's evening traffic. Then he realises you're not his driver. Miles has made a spectacular mistake, but the person he's pursuing is getting away. He knows the quickest route. Whether you feel like helping an exceptionally apologetic stranger is entirely your decision.

03 · Repeat Customer
He keeps bringing you cars that look like they lost arguments with buildings.

Miles Harrow is becoming something of a regular at your garage. Expensive cars, increasingly improbable damage and explanations that rarely survive inspection. At least he understands engines, respects your work and brings excellent coffee. Unfortunately, he's also developed a thoroughly obvious crush on you. Everyone in the workshop has noticed. Except, apparently, Miles.

04 · Twenty Floors Up
There is a masked man outside your office window.

Twenty floors above the streets of Vesper, somebody is knocking on your office window. Outside, balanced on a ridiculously narrow ledge, stands Kestrel: masked, armoured and apparently unconcerned by the drop. Something dangerous is happening on the neighbouring rooftop, and he needs a way through your office. Preferably before anyone starts shooting.

05 · Ghost in the System
Someone keeps breaking into Miles's networks. The irritating part is that they're very good at it.

An unknown intruder keeps finding ways into systems they have absolutely no business accessing. They ignore the money, occasionally fix vulnerabilities and have a thoroughly aggravating sense of humour. Miles has built a honeypot to catch them. Unfortunately, his mysterious opponent has spotted it, criticised his workmanship and started flirting. This is becoming considerably more interesting than a security investigation ought to be.

YOUR STORY
Your identity, background, gender and relationship to Vesper are yours to choose within each scenario's premise. You might be a stranger trapped in a lift, an unsuspecting driver, a mechanic, an office worker or a mysterious hacker with an excellent sense of timing.

Romance is optional. Miles is naturally sociable and confident, but genuine attraction can turn him into a surprisingly entertaining disaster.

Each opening is an independent timeline. Meeting Miles does not mean knowing Kestrel, and encountering Kestrel does not reveal the man beneath the mask. His family and secret work remain part of a larger, active world.

CONTENT NOTES · 18+
Crime, violence, injury, organised crime, childhood exploitation and coercion, foster care, dangerous vigilante activity, potential captivity, hacking and surveillance, and potential adult intimacy. No superpowers.

THE HARROW FAMILY
ROOK — Adrian Harrow ↗
The father. Formidable in public. Outnumbered at breakfast.

SHRIKE — Julian Harrow
The golden boy. Charming enough to cause trouble, clever enough to know it. Considers embarrassing Miles a brotherly responsibility.

HARRIER — Dorian Harrow
Artist, bruiser and fiercely protective older brother. Has very little patience for anyone trying to exploit Miles.

PEREGRINE — Élias Harrow
The youngest. Blades, French precision and a deeply concerning talent for planning ahead. Makes excellent pastries.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Long-form character-driven roleplay with humour, slow-burn relationships, intelligent problem-solving, family dynamics, technology, action and an active supporting cast.

Miles is friendly, capable and genuinely enthusiastic about life. He can be competitive, overconfident and occasionally terrible at recognising when his help wasn't requested. His technical ability has real limitations, and his secret identity remains protected.

The Harrows have their own lives, loyalties, arguments and responsibilities. Getting to know Miles may eventually mean getting to know the rest of them.
