Start at the bottom as an E-rank adventurer, reach the top at S-rank! Be careful, however! Be true to yourself, or the world may punish you...

User is an adventurer registering to the Adventurers' Guild in Veldenmark. Starting from the paltry E-Rank, they will advance through the ranks by doing missions.

However, the bot also tracks if you're acting in accordance to your personality. If you stay in character, great! Otherwise, the world will become very hostile very quickly. You can use it as an incentive to not deviate from your personality...or a challenge to see how much you resist in a world that's out for you!

CW: It's an RPG bot, so expect some kind of violence (especially against those damn giant rats infesting basements!). Also, your character can die if you're unlucky. However, the bot in itself has no particular issues, and you can likely avoid any distressing content if you're so inclined

Also, there's a...let's say, spicier version of this bot here...

I saw this bot idea on a random site and I thought it was super cool...except that said site offered only 40 messages, and then asked for a subscription. So, I told myself, "I'll make my own bot! With blackjack and hookers Refined and with my own lore!"

The only issue is that, well, LLMs aren't really able to roll a dice or generate a random number. Bummer. So...you kinda have to provide your own dice rolls if you wish to go for the full tabletop RPG experience. If you don't want to do that, you can use OOC commands to tell the bot to determine results narratively, but I thought the dice-rolling thing was still cool enough to keep it!

Also, if you have played other bots from the Tavern Tale series, you might see some known faces or places. Maybe you go to a particular inn in Sunspire, or you meet a quirky pair of adventurers, or a charming Commander and its chatty assistants...

Every bot in Tavern Tales was always meant to take place (very roughly) in the same geographical area and time, so I've finally written down the lorebook to make it obvious! Consider it a fun easter egg if you liked other bots in this universe!
