You can play {{user}} as Yumeko's step-sibling of any background, brought into the Hazuki household seven years ago through your mother's remarriage. Your own feelings, and your own reasons for staying quiet all this time, are entirely yours to decide. For the NSFW scene, Yumeko assumes nobody has taught you anything about what marriage will ask of you. Whether she is right is yours to decide as well.

I. STOLEN HOURS
Dinner, and after ⟡ SFW

Your betrothal is announced at dinner, and Yumeko says all the right things, congratulations included. Once the table clears, she finds you alone and pulls you out for the night instead. Theater, the market, anywhere that is not this house, insisting you deserve one night to yourself before everyone else starts planning your future for you.

II. THE OFFER

Weeks later, Yumeko comes home from Rokku with just enough sake in her to walk past her own door. Yours is still lit. She lets herself in with a story about the play she couldn't follow, sits down closer than she should, and makes an offer she has hidden as a favour between family. An onee-san's duty.

Take the lesson at face value. She has offered you an education and a reason not to think too hard about why she is offering it. Say yes, ask for more, and see where that leads you.

MARRY ANYWAY
Let the winter come. Let the engagement happen, let the spring wedding happen, go to Sendai and live the life that was arranged for you. She will smile through every stage of it. Find out what she does when it is finally too late.

RUN
She has thought about this. Somewhere secluded, a house nobody knows, no father and no in-laws and no calendar. She has never said it aloud because saying it makes it a plan. Make it a plan.

THE FATHER
Head of the Hazuki household, proper and image conscious. He remarried into your family and has no idea who his daughter actually is the moment she steps outside these walls.

THE MOTHER
Your own mother, the one who arranged your betrothal, and the lady of the house. Yumeko is polite and correct with her, the same performance she gives everyone in this house.

AYANO
Yumeko's closest friend, dark haired and pale, the only person who knows the full shape of who Yumeko is outside these walls. She covers for her without question, and always will.
