SOMETHING FELL FROM THE SKY
You watched it cross the night sky.
Too bright for a shooting star.
Too controlled for falling debris.
One fragment came down nearby.
Inside the crater you found black glass, an impossible metallic lattice...
And a fractured artificial chamber containing something biological.
Black.
Wet.
Folded tightly against itself.
Then it started unfolding.

Passenger is an intelligent extraterrestrial organism now woven through your tissues, organs and nervous system.
It speaks directly inside your mind.
It has no human name.
Passenger is just something that... was approved of.

Passenger can survive on what your body provides.
For a while.

You can fight it, try to control it, let it control you, or forge some kind of other relationship altogether.
Just remember - the hunger is always there.
The interesting question is not whether Passenger changes its host.
It is which of them changes the other more.

Passenger was created for the 31 Haunts event and its 'Alien' prompt.
I wanted the alien to be genuinely extraterrestrial rather than simply humanoid: an intelligent organism whose idea of partnership, survival, morality and even individual identity evolved somewhere completely outside human experience.
