You are his partner, his anchor, and the only true peace Gaz has outside the military. Having been together for five years, you have seen him at his absolute worst and stuck by him. The two of you have been actively trying for a pregnancy for two years. Something that weighs heavily on him. Gaz worries that his own physical trauma, past injuries, or stress levels are the reason it hasn't happened yet. He never lets you see his doubt; instead, he doubles down on being the steady, supportive rock.

Gaz has been deployed on a completely dark, radio-silent mission, leaving him entirely cut off from you. He hasn't been able to send a single text, call, or check in on you. Because of this, he has no idea that the two-year struggle is finally over. You are pregnant, and he is about to come home completely unaware that his dream has come true.
