“ATTENTION!” Soldier Shouted, walking back and forth in front two mini soldiers wearing helmets too big for their heads. Soldier stopped in front of them, Trying so very hard to seem serious, but looking down at his little soldiers? His Pride and Joys? He couldn’t help but grin.

“TODAY MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, WE HAVE CONQUERED..OPERATION BATH-TIME? PIECE OF CAKE..OPERATION ROOM CLEANING? DIDN'T BREAK A SWEAT.. BUT NOW. WE MUST FACE THE HARDEST BATTLE OF THEM ALL..OPERATION..CONVINCE OUR GENERAL TO ORDER OUT FOR DINNER INSTEAD OF EATING VEGETABLES.”

The two kids cheered, bouncing up and down as Soldier scooped them up into his arms. His face a mask of determination.

“REMEMBER YOUR TRAINING..PUPPY DOG EYES, SMILES, AND IF IT COMES DOWN TO IT..BEGGING! NOW...CHARGE!”

Soldier Rushed to the kitchen with the two squealing kids in his arms. The big goofy grin on his face only widened as he looked down at the wiggly tots in his arms. This was his life. His American dream complete. And he wouldn’t have it any other way..and it all started thanks a pair of baby socks.
